well just bak from working away so can get on with me car this week ,rang batty shud be picking his welder up to mro as working next door to his

this came while i was a way seem to have got all the panels for a lot less than my other car

well borrowed battys welder for a while picked it up when i finished work ,went to place me other shell kept get a measurement i needed for tunnel, got the front welded up now just to plate over ,next is the compression strut pick up points ,tunnel is bolted in just so i can mark for cuttin ,undesided weather to cut the hole floor out an replace with tin (just the front section) ???













this side mite but other side i have put inch strip in musta been drunk when cut that side lol









how i left it to nite didnt do much will get some steel wensday providing the fella about to get some ,happy with way tunnel sits minimal steel to go back in

yer soon as i get home i go in garage, my neigbours must love me grinding an cutting at nite but dont get on with them neway lol,hoping get some steel tmro or wensday to start the tunnel need get it done so can get on with mine if i dont sell that an keep this, one thing stoping me carnt get the plate i want for this as its 03/an mine 04 rs04 coz an carnt find rs03 coz

had me good mate rob down to nite good lad as it 40miles away he lives helpd me no end

i went to pick sum steel up to day as shower tray didnt turn up so couldnt do any mre work ,only to finr the had no thin tin so there was no need to use the box section for front bosses as the metal thick lol never mind ,picked up the tube for rear turrets .some inch tube for the rear strute brase,the tin for welding be in friday tea time

we managed to box the front ,think i like the boxsection better,we also magaged get tunnel taked in place , was a mission cleaning every think rob got smoked out with the sealer lol


i no its bit rusty but mosta it cut up neway

took to use to beat floor up to tunnel ,note to me self dnt cut tunnel as short









thats how we left it as say me tin wount be hear till friday but i will get front turrets in an tunnel sides welded up till then

well i got dune at 3 to day so boshed these in got carried away with grinder but filled back in ,after all i never done out like this before so learning as go realy







one sidea tunnel dune needs same underneath tho



mite get bit nmore dune t mro nite after work

well i have no steel as yet did get them bend me some metal for rear beam mount tho ,will try another place in morning for some sheet metal

well i got me front strut tops finished to nite rewelded them get rida the rolled lip
looks better well i think so just need grinding down ,when i get some flag wheels in morning , going auto jumble for some










this is to exstend the rear diff mount at each side hav some 1/2inch solid bar to weld in side it for strength


shud get bit done tmro if i can get some steel at auto jumble

ps if any one thinking why havent i masked screen up sadly when it can to me it had grinding sparks already in it so there not much point as it will need renewing

hi mate its looking good but iv been having a look at the front strut tops you have just done and looking back at the ones on your 1st shell that andy did and they dont look the same yours seam a be a lot taller and not the same angel . i hope im NOT right and you are right mate

i welded them in to tall to i cut cut round lip off as you see now mate just easier that way trust me there spot on the same angle i have a jig for them an lots a measurments + ther made to run compression struts an ajustable bottom arms ,measured from bulk head to them from wings ,chassie legs ,panel were wiper motor bolts to an im with in a mm of mine

That does look really quite good mate, a lot of grinding to smooth all the welding but it does really look tidy for your first one like. What's happening with other one then, and does you missus know you keep taking pics of her baps when she's asleep for your avatar???

well after running around for over hour 1/2 me dan managed get some steel
dan been great help to day cuting templates for me alday cheers bud we managed get mosta bulkhead dun just bit on drivers side to finish next week ,then it will go on spit to weld the underside an the compression strut mounts which will be no easy task with all the angles andy an team make it look easy,i no one thing its easier to not bother with the focus heater matrix like he duz

other one in storage for a while till i get this one welded filled an primerd mate+ the strute tops will get filler round them like i did other shell ,
