Good work. I'm waiting to see how the turbo performs, I've got the same one. Is it a slow engine run in, or a dyno based load and boost increase?

That will look epic and excellent on Track Days.

Have you had any quotes for the wrap? I have been toying with Painting or wrapping my 205 White and having the full rally wrap done as per a T16 Rally car.

Hi mate long time no speak
Right the flywheel is from turbosport on eBay
The presher plate is a helix race one from Burton power . The clutch plate is a AP skyline witch come to me second hand from a very good mate on here. he will no I'm taking about him 😁 . And it come to him by Martin headland / ( just remember it has to be to smaller of the two same O/D as the cosworth ) . As for the size of the slave cylinder it's a Mondeo center push . The master I would have to check as it stuck on top of a standard peddle box . A mod I come up with some 9 years back 😁 .
Hope this info helped you out

Mate I'm over the moon with it .
It did not mis a beat all day . I no I was not pushing it at all as I just wonted to put miles on the new motor and we was getting lapped all the time . But it was a tick in the Box for the new motor 😁👍

Next will be drop the oil and get some good stuff in there . then sort out getting the air injections wired up but not plugged in then getting it set up . Witch I think I will be getting Carl Norris to do

All good news. Did you feel like you needed a sticker telling people that you were running it in. It is bad enough on a cool down lap getting overtaken.

I did think about it but we was ok as Mallory park is only small and all rights and over taking is on the left and it was wet we just stayed over to the right most of the lap . And it worked out ok

Well I'm starting to get my ass in to gear well iv made some phone calls this week first was to NMS
and I spoke to olly and to 100% with you all I could here was the Ł,s going out the door like renting a track to map the car and stuff like that . So the second phone call was to Motorsports developments and yes it's going to cost a bit to set it up and map but I was a lot happier with wot I was told . And all so I had a return phone call out of office hours from Stu about the air injection boost control that I will be running and it was nice to be told in plane English wot I need to sort and wot the car does not need witch has really put my mind at ease . So it's now booked in with Motorsports developments on the 24th April . So one thing iv got to sort before it goes up there is pull the ex can out and put a standard one back in then it's ready 😁

Stu at MSD is brilliant, my last saph I had was built by an employee of nms and it was surgeing real bad on the t4, just took the car to stu (he didn't even have a dyno then) picked it up a week later and the engine was never an ounce of trouble, he set up a boost curve with air injectors so it never got into surge, the engine was a compromise but it drove perfectly after stu set it up

What's the prediction for power and torque ?

To be honest I don't no as to the BHP around 500 would do the job and the torque I don't no .
but wot will be nice to see is the result,s in 2wd and the 4x4 locked up 50/50 and also with the MDDC running the gearbox

A long time back when we built the engine and installed it I had a problem from the start witch was very unlucky we was filling it up with water and it didn't seem to take a lot so any way I started it up and it run very nice well it was running for about 15min and the temperature gauge was still cold 🤔
and at the time the smoke that was coming from the new motor I thought it was just off the manifold well then I realized it was the paint on the motor getting very very hot 🤔 and the gauge was still cold so by now I had shut it down . And by now we was puzzled to why it was so hot we'll talk about being unlucky it was my turn in the header tank on a 3dr the is a water float to turn a light on the dash well wot we didn't no with it's age it was broken and when had pulled the motor out / drained the water the float had gone down the pipe and blocked it up so hardly any water had gone into the new motor when we filled it up . But any way wot was the end result was the motor would drive spot on and it would use no water or oil until it come on boost and then it would blow a core plug out or blow the thermostat out of the way so I new after getting so hot something was not happy . Well it was about that time the focus project come along so it got put on the back burner till now . We pulled the head off yesterday and we could very clearly see blow plast on the block most of it on number 4 but all of them was showing blow past on the inlet side of the block . But as iv all ready started putting a new motor together this one will go on the shelf for now

How comes your not using the twin scroll manifold on the turbo buddy?
Are you using a standard 2wd exhaust manifold?

Hi mate the only reason I'm using a single scroll is it come up at the right price and all so as the car will only be going back to the track ware I will just be giving it all it has I will be happy with it .
And as to the manifold it's got a tubular manifolmanifold made by MK MOTORSPORTS .
these turbos cannot be bolted onto a standard YB manifold

Not a lot been going on with the focus as of late .
but i think it's all ready to go to MOTORSPORTS Developments ( as long as I'm allowed to take the car ) As no one can say wot the UK problem will
escalate to by the 1st May
the turbosmart activator has now got a 3rd spring inside it witch takes it up 3psi . This has been done by Stuart's recommendation so the wastgate is now set at 17psi

Ye it's now booked in with Motorsports developments as I did phone NMS as hi did it last time and he is just up the road from me but when I got talking to olly up there all I could here was the price going up and up and up to the extent he said they would have to hire a track ( Bruntingthorpe ) to map it I was like WTF ☹️.
So I rang MSD and I spoke to a very like woman she had all the spec of the car and latter that night I got a phone call from Stuart to confirm some of the stuff and advice and the car was then booked in for the 1st of May as it best for me to do it on a Friday because of work commitments . And any phone call to and from MSD was very reassuring so they will be getting my money this time
