I have got both the shit plates from the 4X4 escort box and the 4x4 skyline box so i was thinking along them lines myself or just get a scrap RB25 block and use that to get something made up.

I think the biggest issues are the clutch release bearing and operation, the starter motor position and the bearing in the back of the crank, lastly the length of the input shaft.

HI
that's a bit blue peter ,don't forget the input shaft has to run perfect with the bearing in crank ,if your .3 mm out with some holes etc. it will put strain on bearings etc ,that's one of the reasons the bell housing is doweled

Your 100% right there mark . Plus you will have to cut the skyline bell housing for the starter motor to get to the fly wheel and in my eyes that's making the bell housing very week I'v go a photo of one done like this and it's not for me

I now have a skyline r33 v spec box with r32 single pump. Just a few niggles to solve now but will mock up the tunnel this weekend. I think I will go for the ets pro controller as seems to do everything.

Not yet mate, Half my gearbox the ford 4 x 4 part is still in the UK. But i have spoke to a guy over here about doing the alloy welding for me. He did the cage on my track car. I will send him the pics you sent me and he can let me know if he can do it. I missed one for sale already done the other day a guy in the UK on here bought it. Caddyshack i have also scored a spare front half of a 4x4 skiline box as well so i can do all the mods on that, with a ford block and clutch and the empty casing then once done just change over the modified front end onto my box.
You making the bellhousings?

I will be modding a second bell housing witch is my first gearbox then sending it in to have the gears looked at .
When you speak to the chap that's going to look at doing it for you tell him to make a bush for the input shaft to go into that fits the mt75 4x4 input shaft then when he has made the jig off the cosworth box then remove the bush and make it fit the skyline input shaft as the skyline is bigger not by much but it is . And as said any help I can give just ask

Coley, did your input shaft on the skyline gearbox slot straight in to the bush on the Cosworth crank? Mine seems to only go in a few mm which means the bell housing is about half inch away from the block.

I have a feeling that my box is not 100% lined up yet though, I just need to cut about 10mm at the rear of the tunnel.

Oh cool, that is excellent news. If I sent you the centre push and the bit that needs machining could you get that done too? Happy to pay what you need to sort it.

Thank You

I ordered the ets pro today as discussed in this thread, Ł471 inc delivery from the states, it has full auto control with a gain knob so you can tune his aggressive the 2 to 4 split is. It also has Manual 2wd to 4 wd split and the auto mode is mappable if you want to. Many of the skyline boys upgrade to this to take advantage of the control based on newer technology.

I should have put a Emtron in your car as it can control the Skyline box directly so would not of cost much more

Yeah but I didn't think you would have done such a good as to smash the gearbox so quickly. Your website should come with a gearbox health warning.

Never mind, it will be back to you for a rebuild and more power before long.
