That sound interesting so I take it when you tuch the brake / hand brake it drops the gear box out of 4x4 and into two wheel drive

That depends on how you have set it up.
There is so much more to 4wd than people know.
I can change any of 4 mapped presets on the fly and change how aggressive the lock/unlock is.

If i want to handbrake round a corner i do not want the center diff locked as when i handbrake i only want the rears to lock not to transfer that energy to the front wheels.

Also, when under braking if the front and rear wheels are locked together i.e. center diff locked then the chances of locking a wheel under braking is minimal compared to a 2wd car.
So much more brake force can be applied as a locked center diff,

But, this then affects steering, especially in low grip conditions, rain etc, gravel, so the rate of braked lock can be varied with modifiers to the main map 😉

Bit more work bone yesterday the mt75 4x4 gear box has been removed and the skyline gear box has been fitted for the first time as it's got to come out againe to sort the clutch and do the welding . I'm over the moon with how it went yesterday as up to now all I'v had to cut is 1 inch out of ware the gear stick sits to get that bit up into the car I'v got to cut the ford gear box mount out witch is on the drivers side as the skyline transfer box hits it the gear box has still got to go up 30mm to get it in line with how the mt75 gear box sat / ware the prop sits . but I must say I'm very happy with the progress .

Running the pump is easy, control of the solenoid is where you can make a mess of a great system.
A Ł18 i suspect the latter.

Right I'v had a play today and it's getting there now . I'v cut the tunnel ware it needed to be cut and then put the gear box back on the car and jacked it up with a 10mm strip of metal on the transfer box witch helped to push the tunnel ware it needed to go the trimmed it a bit and tacked welded it . I'v now welded all the cuts back up and to say it was like trying to weld a tin can is a understatement :-( so I'v got a bit of dressing to do now .

Name: photo1_zps15d1a78d.jpg

And as I was finishing I fort I would try the rear prop for size and it's all good .

That prop angle doesn't look good, is it the pic or do you need to lower the center bearing?

I had to lower my center bearing by 20mm

A bit of a up date . I'v finished making the gear box mount it still needs a bit of cleaning up and powder coating but it's holding the gear box up very nice the props are now welded up so they just need balancing up witch I will be sending them in to have that done . It's all going to be coming out of the car the weekend as I'v got to sort the center push clutch out next . But all being good the next time the gear box gose on the car it will be staying on . It will be time to sores the pump to run the 4x4 setup and then start wiring it up as I'v made my mind up haw I won't it to work
