back to basics......bonus sleeper coilovers and backbox fitted
well here goes,my daily driver had blown the headgasket on the way to work wedensday so needed a car pretty quick,i had been looking for another escort bonus anyway and just at the right time this turns up,picked it up last night off Gav(stembo)nice one matey good to see you a little rough and tatty around the edges but seems to be solid as a rock even the standard radio works bang on.the plan was to be daily driver with a difference and 240hp rst mechanicals
heres some pics which gav had taken previously,i will get mine up shortly
got a few tricks up my sleeve with this one if all goes to plan

gunna get my other cars headgasket sorted so i got something to run about in,so in the mean time,
1 tidy it up
2 new reg plates
3 sort the interior/ and give the arches a fettle
4 wheels,brakes, suspension
5 hopefully engine conversion

not much been done as yet as all the focus has been on my grey s2, but my dad wanted to borrow the car and gave it a little modification of his own
broke my indicator and cracked the bumper you cant see all the damage as i looked in the parts bin and fitted a new repeter and put some sealer to hold the bumper together for now luck for me theres no panel damage
also the carb got replaced yesterday as i nicked it from my other bonus
painted the back arms ripple effect and fitted pollybushes
and got another 1.6cvh rst lump from a mate
and some cheeky pics while it was sunny
comedy boot spoiler, not sure i should leave it on cause it looks too sporty LOL
im still using this as a daily smoker and covers upto 600 miles a week sometimes,so when i get my logbook back and another car to smoke about in,this will ave it

brake pads worn down and discs needed replacing so thought id fit some xr2 calipers and vented discs to go under the 13" steels to retain the sleeper look
oops
someone previously done the brakes and fitted self tappers it was like they were welded in cause would they fook come out
so out came the drill
xr2 vented discs and calipers
perfect for fitting behind 13"steels
fitted
standard bonus discs
vented
sleeper look
oh and look what i found in the parts bin due a refurb soon but will do for now
seats could do with a serious clean but im loving the comedy look it will have soon

front coilovers fitted
you can see the difference to front and back
i quite like this pic, not even on lowest setting
fitted a new back box,the exhaust note is very raspy
and will add this for some character, its all in the little details
will put it somewere like this once i get long enough bolts
future parts to add will be rear coilovers and full polly bushes, bigger brakes front and rear, wheels then the most important part the engine and management hope you like so far

I managed to get cossie 4 pots inside the steelies on my estate
there 15inch steelies off a fiesta fusion
just an idea for you if you decided to upgrade to even bigger brakes
mark.

gave it a little clean out to check how strong the shell is lol
couple of blisters nothing to worry about
can safely say boot floor is solid
done just over 5k within 3 months on the ickle 1.3 without causing major headache, and still loving it. so it will stay in for now
