Shaker hood on Escort Mk5
Yep im really bored and im going to go ahead with it. I have been thinking about it for some time and i have decided im going to mount a Shaker Hood scoop on the top of my carb. I will provide much better performance and looks than my current stock filter does.
For example here is my stock filter... the silver thing... looks bad.
and i really think the bonnet will benefit from it a lot. It will look really good.
Now im only planning to use a small scoop, because i have got a small engine (1.3) and a small carb with that. So i just want a bit more cold air in there, make it a bit faster.
it should cost me around £40 to fabricate the while thing myself. the most expensive thing will be the air filter. But i think it should all come out okay.
what does everyone think??

lol car is worthless and im bored. im stuck in my gap year (19) and all i do is work, need some projects. My pc is allready watercooled and customised to oblivion. now all i want is my car to look as sexy lol.

i had my 265bhp audi tt at 19 i wouldnt complain bout insurance a 1.6 escort lol , i had my tt a xr3i and a 2.0ltr fez all on my insurance at one time

cant afford a new engine or new insurance anyway. Got mine for 760quid this year. 2 weeks before the insureance went up. My other half got her toyota yarris (1ltr) insured 3 weeks after for 1.3k and shes female so its supposed to be cheaper (both 3rd party fire and theft)

payed 1300 fully comp pay the same this year but with the mods , oh and as for bein a gay car , im not gay and iv never cort my car tryin to fuck another one lol so guess its not gay eather, and ur find alot of tt are owned by men and now ladys
oh a quick edit to say iv always payed my own way, havnt had the help like sum out there out on my arse from 16, dad left when i was 5 so never had fuck all from him, an yes i work hard for what i own !
