thanks for the welcomes
i purchased this off fleabay. described as complete but needs a bit of welding.
i think if i had of welded it all in one go it would have taken me about three weeks. luckily i have a mate with his own garage and use of his welder.
took a while to reconstruct but im proud of this
n/s inner wing
the holes just keep coming
made the bits off a mk4 fit as money was tight and i couldnt afford new panels
im not the worlds best welder but im good at grinding
this o/s rear inner sill was a right pig to do
put interior back in
ive had to take the interior out recently as there is a leak into drivers side, i cant find where it is coming in yet though
repaired big dent in the wing
its looking more like xr3 now
there was a deep scratch to the rear panel but i noticed the rear panel i rippled so there is accident damage here
the roof also wants sorting so my mate is coming in the new year to give me a quote for a respray. so im still aquiring bits for it,i have 2 mint doors and tailgate in the garage to go on
so it got put on hold over summer as we bought my son a mini for his 18th birthday but that ended up needing more welding than the escort

newbie with xr3 update
ive been busy this weekend while we had nice weather.Managed to fill, sand and respray my damaged roof.
after alot of wet and drying and alot of t cut im finally happy with it
took my side window out and sprayed in the mat black, but i marked it when i put the window back in so i will need to touch that bit up again
i also removed th screen so i could sort th scuttle panel
put all my interior back in after i found out where my leak was
this is where it was leaking it was very well filled by the last owner but i decided to be brutal with it and found it was just filler and sealant.
so overall im very happy with my results
cheers drew
