Looks good, guessing it's just for strate line / strips? as turbo seems in prime spot for shit to go in it.

Nothing as of yet, I'll run about 17psi on the standard engine, this should give me 400bhp. I'm waiting for the parts to come from the states to build my other engine. But the stock 1 will be plenty for the winter.
That was the idea, the exhaust is just as simple, 1 90 degree bend and a silencer.
Haha, ye the mounts are nearly solid.
It will be road legal, obviously aimed at strips etc, A filter will be fitted for road/track use though. I had the last turbo there and it was ok, even when caught in the rain. Free water injection

Not really, weathers been shocking (as you know).
I've never actually managed to get it grip for a full gear. I've got some 225 wide R888s i'm sure in the dry it will put the power down ok with them on.
Running 1.3 bar of boost its very quick. I'd predict high 400's. (still can't believe how well it spools)
I've ordered, sleeves, pistons, rods etc from the states, so will be 4-5 weeks till any more major updates.
Also ordered lots of T45 so we can add some safety but more importantly loose some more weight

I dont know if you thought about supporting the turbo wait! as if you got very stiff ride suspension any lumps or bumps will effect the engine to move about? ''not much but hash bumps will move the motor! so with the turbo unit so fare out you need to put on some sort of damper on it, other wise you start pulling the studs from your cyl-head!
you mite think this will not happen, beleave me it DUZZ...

Theres not a lot of flex, and the thermal expansion of the manifold plays havoc with braces. I did look at some kind of rose joint affair and still haven't ruled it out completely.
We ran the original setup very similar to this (but smaller turbo) for some time and never had a problem.
Thanks for you concern though

I work for honda and if i had a pound for everytime we had someone come in to show us there turbo'd or supercharged civic and then come back in two weeks to show us how many pieces the engine blew into i would be a very rich man.
Hope yours goes well though mate, looks a crisp project. Good luck

I think 1 or 2 are members on here.
Sounds like there not getting them tuned correctly. (send them my way in future and they'll last a LOT longer)
We've got 4 cars running over 400bhp on bone stock engines. The other 15 or so are running 300 and another couple over 350.

Sounds like you had some DET also, what managment did you use? You was probably lucky the head gasket went, I'm guessing it wasn't genuine or you reused old bolts and it lifted the head.

A typical conversion for a drive in drive out build is Ł2500-3000, 300-350hp depending on spec and turbo etc. If you take care 400+ has proven to be fine. But we only pushed regular customers cars this far.
A few reasons, shortest boost pipes possible. Shortest exhaust, equal length twin screamer pipes, best cold air feed possible and because we make "normal" car's day in day out, so its nice to do something a little bit different.
If the admin/mod's want me to remove the prices etc above please let me know. I'm not looking to trade on here just post something a little different

I haven't got any recent vid's (got a google phone that doesn't take them)
Heres a vid of an intergra we did, this was running 14psi and did a 12.2 on the day although this run was a 12.7 I think.

I'll get some vids, i've just stripped it again to make some new parts new subframe, and a cage, (when it wheelspins in 5th at 100mph+ I think you need 1 )

Yes, Its not really worth the hassle, the engines are a bit tall, mounts and driveshafts don't aline 100% soon as you go big power if the shafts aren't perfectly straight your always going to have problems.
The k20 heads are better, but the B series heads flow plenty anyway.
Its not a 1.8, it was a 1.6 before.
Thanks,

Gearboxes are better on the B series, the engines lighter, fits straight in, which is a big bonus as shaft angles on the H are never optimum. Things like this are important when you want more power.
The H series make less power per litre, while been slightly bigger capacity they don't really make any more power, just torque a wider lower powerband, which isn't really need on a fwd.
