Thursday 08/07/10

Driving down to mates garage for MOT this morning and noticed the ABS light was staying on When pulling out from the junction at low speed the abs / traction control kicked in and scared the hell out of me glad i wasn't going quickly as it felt like the wheel was shut down with no indication

Fortunately mates garage is about 400 yards away so took it steady and got there safely, he took it out to see what happens and it did it again straight away so he took it back in and got the diagnostics machine on it to see what it said.

I had to disappear shortly afterwards to get the train however left it in his hands to see if he can resolve the issue, I think when I removed the ABS sense a couple of months back to get the rear beam shot blasted that I may have damaged it So annoying as far as I can tell the only place you can get a replacement one is from PumaBuild at a cost of £133

Hoping that mate has sorted it and it passes its MOT later as cant wait to take it on a drive

Flattering photo of Paul haha

The product is called Epoxy Mastic 121

http://www.rust.co.uk/epoxy-mastic.cfm

The stuff is amazing quite pricey but well worth it, there is no way rust will set in ever

Thanks Gal.
Its definitely this site by the way.

Once on the home page click on the right hand side then select show plates, this will take you to the registration plate build up page from here select plate size style etc etc on the first page that comes up you can actually write in you reg and it shows you exactly what it shall look like.

Dont forget along the top of the plate build up page there are separate tabs for fonts, backgrounds etc

Job done

I just want one like yours! Lols!

The one on the site says 6" 4" and looks quite square.

Could you measure yours? I have someone that can make them up to specific size!

I think you'll find as stated on the website "Show Plates Only"

Officers don't seem to mind well, some of them depending if they are at a "Show" or not

If im honest i feel a bit let down by this thread, you spent so much time making sure all of your parts were finished just right to then go and hammerite the car floor in hammered blue. It would have looked so much better painted imperial blue, I used hammerite on the underside of my s2 it looked wicked but when I went to a show and saw another that had been painted mercury grey I was gutted. Bar that very tidy job all round.
