oredered some sheet metal yesterday to make up some blanks to go under my vents so i can direct the water away from cam cover! as its getting wet and freezing

also ordered some polished gas struts for my bonnet

you goin 4 it mate arent you! How long u had the moter, and wat u hopin 4 power wise 160ish??

Are you Goin 4 higher lift cams and longer duration wen u got the tb?

Is the head ported polished? opened up?

having a go yes lol

just over 2 years now i bought it standard

yea fingers crossed i would be over the moon if it got to 160bhp!

tbh the cams i already have are more than up to the job they are quite aggressive.

no its not ported or polished but when im having the engine rebuilt im going to get the head skimmed a few thou to get the compression ratio up

im also having a performance ford shoot next wednesday

had my photoshoot yesterday it was fantastic!! i cannot wait for mag to come out!! it should be out in april or may they said!

i also had a delivery from ShawSpeed today... lightened and balanced flywheel and helix clutch :P

they are pug 306 gas dampers, they are 18quid for the pair

no but when you order them tell them you need the bolts as yours have broke! they didnt send me mine but when i asked they sent them straight out

i havent been on here for ages as i have been very busy with a few odds and sods but have a few updates

i fitted my helix clutch and lightened and balanced flywheel! it has made a stunning difference to the car! the pedal is quite hard but is so much more forgiving than the standard item! it bites alot harder and seems to change alot more agresive which i like!!

as with the fly, the car seems to rev alot better,more free and quicker acceleration

when i did the clutch etc i took my time in cleaning and painting parts as i want to keep ontop of the dirt! also my gear box was covered in oil from a previous leak!

and by god was it a mamoth task cleaning it up!!

while i was t i went about cleaning and painting all brackets up

gearbox mount with VT mount

a variety of parts :P

a few clips

the slam panel on my car has been buging me since day one as its primer grey and rusty!! so as i was doing gearbox i thought why not paint this now i have it up garage!

before...

after...

a million times nicer imo!

after refitting my gear box i looked under the car and something wasnt right!

the sump was filthy and box was mint so i had to do something about it!!

i whipped it off and gave it a good clean up and a paint!

i also resealed it tidy because it was leaking slightly after fitting my HD big end bolts!

i recived my omex 600 a few days back off jon at shawspeed and i decided i wanted to mount it somewhere cool aand eye catching

so i came up with this....

what you think?? i think its mint

as i was ther i decided on going a tad mad with the suede so this happened...

i had these alcantra and leather gaitors which i wasnt keen on so i got my mothers sowing needles out and had a go at doing my own haha

after stabbing my finger a few times i came up with this...

Loving where you've put the ECU! Although, it does make it a bit of a target to theives mate. Maybe make a wee cover to go over it when your parked up?

i have a spare cover so i might suede that and use that day to day but when i go to shows etc use the one with the hole in.

over the past two days i have been stripping my puma inlet off as im swapping it with one of my mates for a standard one because i will be having itb's the inlet will be no good,

anyway i got to the last bolt and was undoing it got it out about 5-6mm and the bastard snapped on me!!

after loads of swearing,shouting and drilling it was still stuck!! so i went i got myself some 'easy outs' today and i even managed to snap one of them in there lol!

so i have been out in the rain,sleet,snow and wind trying to get the bugger out and it finally gave way

so while the inlet was off i couldnt resit.....

since these pictures i have stripped them back off and painted up all the block etc so looks alot better!!

i have also payed for the last lot of parts from shawspeed

so in 23days i will be itb'd powered yeeee haaa
