Lots of new bits have arrived just with the weather being so crap not really been out in the garage to make a start.Give it a few weeks and i will be though

Had a fair few new parts turn up so have been busy fitting these:

New headlights
New amber indicators
New amber side repeaters
New standard rear lights
New number plate light
1600i rocker cover painted stain black
satin black heater surround by fusion
front/rear braces satin black
satin black header tank ( you can see a theme starting here)
Heatwrapped front pipe
New door/window rubbers
Roll cage padding.
G-Reddy profec B electronic boost controller

Think thats about the lot at the moment so will post some pics up when ive fitted most of it.

Spent most of the day on the car today and got quite a few bits done,Fitted all my bits back that id painted satin black under the bonnet, bolted on the front brace,fitted my new heater box surround (thanks to fusion) put my new rear lights and gaskets on,a few decals and made a little cubby hole for my new boost controller (which is yet to be connected up)

Under bonnet mods have to be a set of black hoses, get rid of the massive original fuel filter as there are more modern ones from focuses etc that you can use. I'd get rid of the Torque of the Devil sticker too.

Spot on car too.

What suspension mods have you got on the car?
The adjustable stuff makes a hell of a difference in a 300bhp car

Looking good mate!!! Fuel filter wise, i've ditched the accumulator and have run aeroquip throughout the bay which looks trick, and added a sytec bullet fuel filter....reckon the same setup would look sweet on yours

Yes mate, that's the same sort of thing, not the best photo, but in this old pic you'll get the idea, you can get any end to screw into the filters, aeroquip or push on etc.....

The cars running konis with -30mm cobra springs, S1 arb setup and has just had a full geometry setup.Was thinking of going to coilovers but didnt want the ride to harsh for road use.

Spent a few hours today on the car ( cant beat it on a sunday) Tidied up the boot area, although its not totally done it looks alot better.
Got hold of some black sticky back fabric which is great for round the side panels and hiding any white bits as didnt want to go for a totally stripped out look.Also put some extra sound deadening in the inner wings and boot floor etc.Got a new boot carpet as the standard one is to short with the rear seat out,altho its grey not black dont fit to bad either.
Eventually will remove the rear bench and get a thin ply floor made that runs right through and can be carpeted black.
Then gave the old girl a wash as was looking a bit dusty from the last few months tucked up(reminds me i must dig out the car cover)

Next jobs are to get my 1600i rocker on and have another set of bonnet vents which im going to paint black , what do you guys think satin or gloss as cant decide????

looks really smart, i liked it before but it looks even better now.

i did a similar thing with 1 of my old stripped out cars, didnt want bare metal so just got loads of sub box carpet in black, and some spray on glue, light coating of glue all over the back then stick it wherever you want it, made it look much more presentable.

No way would i want to use it as my everyday and only car.Far to noisy, heavy on steering and not enough mod cons.Plus i get far more enjoyment pulling it out of the garage once in a while and going for a blat

I think a nice standard s2 you could get away with using every day but is a bit of a shame to through tho harsh winters.

The car went back to my tuner today as has got a problem with the inlet leaking, so that is being repaired along with my tappets being adjusted,1600i rocker fitted,new throttle cable to be fitted,millers fully synthetic box oil,and a full check over hopefully will be ready for central day which is coming up fast

Popped down to my tuner to see how the car is coming along, the new custom inlet has new been made and am really pleased with the quality should also give better airflow this time round and is much stronger (was pressure tested to 5 bar!!),the pipe that was so near the cambelt last time now has much more clearance so am pleased with that to.Had the solid tappets all set up and my rocker fitted.Heres a few pics and one of my son who came along and is car mad already like his dad
