Ive done some data logs before i removed the old parts so once its back up and running i will do the same tests on the same bit of road. This should let me know if the coolers are holding down the IAT's and recovering quicker and also should be able to see if boost is coming in quicker and if the MAF is flowing more air.

Lee are you keeping your one now or still thinking of getting rid ?
I was going to phone wayne at Pro but these coolers came up for a good price with Bell cores and they were fitted and worked well on a tracked car.
Dout i will see much gains with these mods , mibi a bit of an improvement in spool up and low down torque but they will help alot later.

AWESOME cars. I just don't ever drive it any more.
I got it out to take to go to the Ring the other day... thought that would be fun. Battery was dead.. needed replacing... then I thought I will get the tyres balanced for journey over. Turns out all 4 were through to Canvas on inner edge! wounder! so 4 new tyres needed.... didnt have a chance to get em in time. Pissed me off and took Boxster in the end.
So that made my mind up!

I did a pressure test from the maf hose through the turbos and coolers up to the TB tonight and got a steady 1.2 bar, so all fittings look good as thats more than i managed on the original set up. I know the inlet to the turbos will never see that pressure but decided to test it just to be sure that all the new pipework is air tight. I haven’t road tested yet as it was late by the time I finished, it is all built back up and is on 4 wheels and has been started and given a rev without any problems.

This is a copy of a post on pistonheads by the guy that checked over my data logs and put them into a easy to read table.
Okay so now for the interesting stuff. Neil sent me before and after runs, same conditions (IATs), same stretch of road. The only difference was that he had more weight in the second run, which is a shame because that affects performance, but you can see for yourself that the car is quicker. If we look at the figures below I will explain more [The left side is PRECONVERSION so the right side is POSTCONVERSION. Neil done several runs, so I have checked each to compare, but they are consistent.
1) Each entry is a timestamp in durametrics.
2) Neil was at full throttle on each - I could see this from the throttle position parameter.
3) He was in the same gear
4) He was on no boost at 2100 revs for each of the above, and then floored the throttle, which was shown by the increase in TPS.
Results
1. He is spooling quicker - the boost comes in quicker
2. The boost is higher - in some places by around 0.86 psi - okay that doesn't seem like a lot, but bear in mine the change that has been done her - the pipe and intercoolers.
3. He was quicker through the same gear
4. His AFRs are better. He is running less rich in places. It seems that the DME has adapted, and recognising the greater airflow. This would make sense.
5. His IAT at WOT (7200 rpm) is 6 degress less. His starting position is less by 3 degrees, same AT.
6. Difficult to judge the IATs, because until you go over 150, you really cannot see if they help to stop timing being pulled.

Well after doing as couple of hundred miles in the car since fitting the pipework and coolers it seems to have made a change to the way the car drive , in that the power seems smoother and it revs quicker.
Im going to look into fitting some 1bar wastegates to see if i can get the boost to come in a bit earlyer , but thats it fo now untill i go for hybrid turbos and 600+ BHP

Suspension update....
The suspension fitted justnow is $2500 worth of JIC coilovers and rated realy highly in America for Porsches but just doesnt realy cope aswell with our poor roads. One of my mates who has a serious track 996 has just upgraded his set up so , ive just agreed to take his old Moton Clubsports
Features:
*Seperate Bump (7) and rebound (7) control
*Ride height adjustable
*Unique blow off valve system in remote reservoirs
*Large piston rod diameter for more fluid displacement
*Adjustable gas pressure for added lifting force
*Large main piston for quick response
*No preloaded valve stacks needed for low speed damping control
*Swivel banjo hoses for easy installation of remote reservoirs
And the car they came off
This is why i shouldnt be aloud near a computer or paypal while bored at work, so much for not spending on cars anymore

I have just got the car up on axle stands to change the suspension over. While the car was in the air ive decided to get a couple of other jobs done at the same time , the wheels are away to be split, repolished and the center colour change , and ive also gave the calipers a bit of a refurb.

I am putting mine back on std wheels Neil. Getting rid of the pig iron boat anchor Techarts!
Off to the Ring in it this weekend as it goes. Will be first time I have driven it in 3 months!

The wheels are getting done by Mike the polisher. www.the-polisher.com
I was going to go for a body coloured center but the closest powder they had was slightly dark, i have decided on gloss black centers and black bolt heads to add a bit of detail.

Lee ive only had the car out for 5 min last night to check for any knocks or rubbing with the way ive ran the hoses, so far it seems a smoother ride and thats with the dampning half way and slightly heavyer springs than on the old stuff.
Going to drop it another inch all round today to get it back to the same height as before then will give it a better test , and hopefully get it booked in asap for a proper set up again. Back end should be the same if i get the height back to what it was but the front nolonger has adjustable camber plates so it will need adjusted.

Lee after doing 4 hours of B road blasting today, I would say the new suspension has transformed the car and thats before it has even been set up. I would say the ride quality is no worse than my standard Clio 182 cup , it realy has shocked me and after a set up it can only get better
