Default Series One Rs Turbo - REBUILD

A new car a new thread - Series One RS Turbo, which I have purchased from a good friend.

I plan on changing a few things and adding the Luca touch

Will update the pictures once the car is collected on Thursday when it is going to JKM to sort a few bits of wiring out and MOT.

Orange lights are the only way to go on an older white car, especially S1.

Only other comments are glad the "bling" is getting binned, will look a lot better standard under the bonnet, and whilst I'm a fan of black hoses, personally I think blue ones would look much better on this car. Blue on white always goes, plus it'll match the badges and decals, whereas black will clash for me.

Also, have those wheels been diamond cut or is it just the light on the pictures. If they are diamond cut, I reckon they'd look 100% better back to standard.

Looks nice and clean though, and almost original enough

Yes, the wheels have been painted white on the inside and then the front face has been diamond cut. Im still unsure as to keep or to replace with a standard finish alloy.

This was the plan as the Fez is just too much hassle driving on the road now / leaving un-attended.

Thank you for all your feedback so far, much appreciated.

Started looking for bits to bring the old girl back from the past and into the present.

A start was in the form of an engine bay sticker kit which will be applied once the areas have had a slight bufty/resto.

A few clips and brackets have been bought and should be on there way soon too

Big thanks to Chris Latham from Passion Restoration Products.com for letting me know he can suplly this fantastic decal set.

Well upon collecting the car I knew beforehand there was a wiring issue to address.
The car would only turn over but not fire /spark, the previous owner had tested various items and replaced, still no worky!

I decided to take the car upon collection to JKM and have them check out the faults.

After a few hours of stripping back the loom and working out why there was no spark, Greg found that the issue was the coil had been continually fed a live, ( I think this was the cause)
Thus a breakdown in the wiring had caused some funny business and also trashed the ECU. The wiring was replaced and thankfully a spare ECU was sourced, within half hour.
Cheers to SM from here for that

BIG THANKS to those PF members I text yesterday whom were helping source a replacement ECU or loan ones for me.
All should be rosy now though for the games to commence.

Car is currently at JKM were they will test everything and make sure all wiring is up together and then run the car through an MOT.

Hopefully it will all be ready to begin tinkering with shortly, as I have a few bits to fit and a few changes to the bling bling planned.

Cheers for the pics Hev , and thank you for helping push the car couldn’t of done that without your help.

That does look clean Luke! Even looks like the rivet holes on the front spoiler aren't cracked or split! Get rid of the chrome, but keep the ambers and blue hoses. They match the side stripes.
