Definitely loosing the strut brace can fit the replacement air box and washer pipework then.

Hoping to get these bits done and a few more for Boxing Day as there is a local classic car show in Wickham Village Sq

The one that was fitted to the car when I bought it was painted "RS" Blue

so I have yet to fit the replacement black one which Twins kindly sourced for me.

Im not 100% sure as this was fitted to the car also when I bought it.

Really nice work Luca, I removed the strut brace on my Esc you'd never know, are you changing the bonnet hinges aswell? (or putting spacers on

)

I am NOT fitting those bloody bonnet spacers!

Yes I need to get the underside of the bonnet painted as some stainless bits were orignally glued onto it. When this is painted I plan to have the hinges painted along with the bolts.

Last night I was fortunate enough to see this year’s Gold Cup winning Series one ( ???? RLO)

I have never really followed the concourse boys as I have always been interested in the track side of things.
However from speaking to Stuart last night and hearing the ups and downs of life on the Concourse scene, I can see why they do it.

The car itself is just superb, I don’t care what anyone says about “Buftys” these cars are seriously special.

I want my S1 to be clean but still useable though so concourse is certianly out of my league.
It will not be anywhere near the standard of Stuarts but I want it to be original, so seeing “RLO” enabled me to see how things should look.

I also sourced a nice standard top boost hose so things are coming along at a steady rate. Aswell as a few other parts to be tempted with over early part 2010.

Not much will happen for the next 2 months as the Fiesta is priority… so I’m told!

For those pro "buftys" original Ford code on the underside

It gets worse than that mate, when he puts the clips back on , he makes sure all the screw driver slots line up in the same direction

He tried to re-align mine when he helped fit the bonnet pins.....

I ended up going there last night straight from work with Hev. Were intending to go to Bluewater for dinner and shopping, would have called you then!..
