Went for the usual drive around Snowdon, but the diff's been knocking a bit lately, gradually getting worse. So after taking these pics, I put her on the axle stands and removed the diff and shafts (bearings stuffed in them too), what do you expect from abused 20+ year old bits John Coles manged to source me very low millage shafts and a diff, so just waiting on them at the mo. Should be back on the road tonight hopefully

Cheers pal, will keep that in mind. But Stage 3 power, quite happy with stock diff at the mo

@ Maxest

I have a new one to fit, just not got round to it. No point repainting them, more hassle for something with a mix of plastic and metal, would rust again. Cheaper buying a new one

I think you really freaked him mate, had a different post man every day now since your little burst of creativity But thanks Blacky for the drumstick, the difference is unbelievable

Diff n' shafts didn't arrive today though working all through weekend, so will no doubt arrive for me to fit Monday morning. No worries though, spent the day buftying underneath it again......much to Blacky and Wenny's dislike no doubt!

Contrary to popular belief, its really hard, unless you got a pair of those velcro gloves

Aaaaanyway....luckily it ain't broken, I just thought I'd change the diff due to the little knock before it becomes a big problem and I'm stranded somewhere, forcing to me to torch the fu*ker

Very untidy pics, need to clean some excess oil, grease and salt off the underside, but you get the idea. Oh, there's no leaks anywhere just incase you think there is around the fuel pump
