Simon is getting it, its just a standard one. Want to keep the centre of gravity down. Using a cossie fuel pump. Unsure of the swirl pot options yet though.

I could have it finished by March maybe if I had all the cash just now, but I don't so I'll just take my time. If I have it finished for summer I'll be happy.

I'll take a look at the site and sign up.

nice one mate, loving the mk5 rear beam idea, how long did it take you to do the conversion on it? are you still running mk3 suspension or do you have to use mk5 uprated stuff when ordering up? also i take it your using mk3 top mounts for the turrets on the car?

Well its a straight forwad swap, but it took me a few hours because all the bolts were rusted on theold one! Soit should take you a few hours at the most, and having owned a mk3 before and a mk5 zetec-s(IMO the best handling fiesta made) the difference is great.

MK3 suspension will fit straight on, alot of people may not be aware that the mk4, 5 was just a clever update of the mk3.5. The front chassis legs etc are quite different, but from the windscreen back its much the same. I am putting in a mk5 dash.

Any more questions just ask.

nice one mate, i'll try and find a beam and get cracking, looks like a proper good conversion that even just for the rear discs on it!

what else you got planned for handling wise on your car?

I'll be running aluminium brake lines through the inside of the car, braided ones to the calipers. You can fit fiesta front ones to the rear or try and get FRP ones, as they had this setup as sandard.

Looking good Adam! Lovely colour and the ZS wheels in anchracite look really nice. Shame they're not big enough for good brake clearance.

No new pics of progress as all thats been done is but parts. The snow is really bad up in Blair Athol so I haven't been up for a while.

I said the engine would be getting built but thats off at the moment as we are doing the chassis, cage and box etc first....

So purchases...

OMP cage
seat mounts
new fuel tank(standard)
Cossie fuel pump
Fuel lines(inside car)
floor mounted pedal box
fluid resevoirs for brakes and clutch
all brake fittings
brake lines(inside car)
clutch fittings
brake pads
FRP handbrake cable

Airtec matt black Stage 2 Front mount intercooler

new mk5 dash...off getting flocked

And I had an e-mail from Simon earlier saying he had prices for my new driveshafts, clutch and flywheel. And a new Gotech Pro-X ECU and loom.

Most of the parts should be there this week, weather permitting.

Again thanks for all your comments and encouragement

Unfortunately not due to the weather nothing has been delivered, so unable to get the work done. It still looks the same as it did when i dropped it of....except for a few feet of snow on top!
