I know these cars are like Marmite here but I know lots do like um so thought I'd chuck up another RS2000 I havfe. I picked this up a few month back with the intention of using it to run in my maxi engine well that plans gone out the window and I've gotten carried away with it some pics = The day it arrived on my drive Engine bay is truely minging Oil in the header tank (foobar head gasket) Seats are mint only 79K Think the near front has had sumink doen in the past see the bolt loacations for the head light also has red bonnet hinges Scorpion s/s full system, my favourite system on an RS is Scorpion the rest is rust I have found on the n/s nothing massively OTT though tbh havent look at shasisi legs yet bottom of pass door has rusted slightly and bubble in the centre rear arches are not rotten but have rush apearing on them I think me and Sam can tackle all this when weather warms up a little one thing also is the bonnet has a crack in paint on usualy pressure point in the middle found another rust bubble on top of windscreen seal Sun roof edge is mint though Put all trim back in looks tidyer found fag burn in rera bench though so Im after another one also drivers seat seems to have collapsed the undernieth support to it but the seats mint so will remove and try and repair it few lads have popped around and seen it and think its a bargain lol looking like a car again now got these this morning rear bench with rear head rests Had them in Lucifer and Stretch has got set but these arent quite the same they have a slight pattern in the head rest it self but ill get then retrimmed using my old rear bench lol I just cant help meself lol mint RS interior that came from a show car that totaled on a trailer How fooking kool does it look now!!!! lol Some fat rims can ya tell what it is yet pmsl No rims Rimage sexy rimage lol couple more bits De-Cat Leccy sunroof motor as people were moaning when they came to my house about the car being used as a storage cupboard on the new interior lol I decided to clean it out and bolt it all in propperly as Ive decided to take time away from L2 I thought I'd piss about on this for a while random clean pics Enine bay tomorrow lol started stripping the RS now and looking and finding faults. Found that the front panneks are rotten to fuck and loads of bad wiring in the engine bay, also this is the filthyest RS I've ever seen, went to remove fannymold and you can see this car is a vergin to any type of spanner has never been worked on before.... some pics of the shite... also a note to all lol have a look behind your inner wings for shit As me an Sam have decided to go with Bigger T/B's for L2 weve got some spares hanging around lol yup will be fitting um onto this lol picked up some bits today at FF first Cossie pop outs from Gav, all new fixings and mint seals Cossie bib & also a Carbon Fibre Splitter! thanks to Phil Botley for me splitter More progress this up coming fortnight Also worked on this RS again today and parts for it refurbished a Grp Exhaust System for it - tuck ages lol also managed to ahnge the door with the help of a Grinder and Chissel and Hamer pmsl other door tomorrow lol more update pmsl thought we'd start pulling the front off as its rotten lol Sam with a big chissel lol side skirt removed an quite tidy under there one rusty and dented wing removed not to shabby underneith it either more updates very soon no doubt lol

PS - It's being built to look quite like this one but most likely faster as running t/b's on this one (the black one Lucifer 1)

The 15's did look nice but RS2K's drive like shite on 15's - The BBS if they stay will be painted Gun Metal Grey - but idealy after some Super T's

I got a bit heavy handed today lol



here have a look

started off quite well trial fitted new wing on it





then went to fit another door onto passenger side and went to close it and didnt shut but then also wouldnt open again as it was trapped so only choice was to muller the wing





see it didnt fit








Sams been over and says we can save the other door btu if it had been the other side we couldnt have saved it as that door was well fooked

see I had no choice

ROOSE inlet pipe



I know were running bike bodies on this but thought with Sams new hobby of porting I'd have a go at seeing what power we can get out of a standard inlet also as Lucifer ran well on one but now we've learnt a lot more about the inlet and can improve on last time.


PS cant wait for this thread to hit page two as the images are an arse on me pc lol

Seeing all the rust makes me cringe, i've just had my rs2k done during the summer but I can see the rot coming back with all the rain we've had as mine sits outside....

Get a good car cover mate, I rebuild an engine for me mate Ste whos got a near concourse RS he keeps out side under a cover and is OK all year round.

Was a bit gob smacked when shut the door and it wouldnt close and then wouldnt open

So how come the door didnt fit.A freind of mine has a Mk6 RS2000 and he took a door of a billy basic 3dr escort and he went to put it on his RS200 and it didnt line up.

I think from what I've been told mate theres two hinge fittings on escorts which is wierd

we had it on a couple of escos shells aswell when changing doors that some would and some wouldnt fit.

My Maxi project has MK5 doors on it and they fitted strate on

No adjustment in the hinge design so kind of fucked if they dont fit

think it was ford being gay, we had a k plate rs2k in at work (mk5 front mk6 back) and a mk5 door didn't fit even though they look some same, had to get 1 off a car that was the same shape.
