Ben
Haven't checked this for a while, and I'm glad I didn't...
Fantastic catching up on everything, it's a real credit to you.

You can truly be proud of all the hard work, it is an amazing car.
I am just finishing my Evo 6 resto (converted to LHD) after 2.5 years and almost lost interest in it. Have to sort mapping and geo and then Tuv....
Next plan is to build a Fiesta Evo S2000 look but I am afraid that will take too long.

Credit to you ,but please do something with the gaitor around gear stick or get an alloy surround made just to finish it off nicely

Thanks guys
Yeah 5 years has been a long slog i can tell ya and has literally financially crippled me lol but worth it in my opinion,
Tommy Field came round mid week and we had a quick plug in of the lap top just to get the dash can settings sorted and to have a quick check that things were ok in the car so i can run it up at home to bleed the coolant and get it mot'd etc.
Found a couple of little issues with the water system, mainly being how i plumbed it in but after getting rid of a massive air lock it now sits and holds it's temp fine so no dramas although for peace of mind and better circulation we decided it's best to plumb the header tank back to the water pump instead of the bottom of the rad.
Oil pressure in the car is superb as would be expected from a brand new engine, and the fuel pressure is mint at 5bar (i know it is normally 3.5bar idle on a standard car but this was set up to this so it's fine)
So bit busy this weekend with things but next week i will get on with pulling the box out to sort the clutch cylinder issue and hopefully getting the gears so the car moves!!!
That's it until the end of October as i am well and truly SKINT

Decided that while the box was out I was going to upgrade the hydraulic release bearing to a proper Tilton unit, no real reason as all the reyland kits used the cylinder I currently have with no issues but just want it bomb proof so ordered that to be with me tomorrow or Friday, then I will machine up a new spacer to suit and get it all back together over the weekend

Hello Stu
Not busy driving it around just yet lol, not touched in this last month as been busy sorting my new shed/workshop so I can get all my tools etc and welder set up as my garage is currently rammed with all my tools/compressors and welders and metal folder as I have no where else to put it as yet until the shed is done and the garage doesn't have any room in to work on the car lol but the shed is coming along slowly, just money holding things up as usual
Had to use it to do a couple of fittings for someone the other day so had to make do for now lol
Also been busy helping my other half set up her new business and fit out the new shop as she is opening up her own florist's so not had time or cash for the car but once the shed is done and business is up and running then il get back on it as funds allow

Finally got some things sorted and cleared ready to do some work on the car,
There was a section of the exhaust that only just cleared the gearbox mount and I know it would probably knock when driven so being fussy I cut it out and got a new bend ready to make it better with extra room to guarantee no annoying knocks
Need to cut a small straight to fill the gap
Once that is done I'm gonna put this lot together as well to do a pressure test on the boost side of things to see if I have any leaks or not
