its miles off paint still im afraid mate as i want it pretty much running before being stripped down again and painted last thing, but once back from Andrew it will be getting a coat of red oxide or similar to keep the damp out while it sits and gets worked on back home,
I presume there is no dash going in due to the cage?
Looking great Mark
Mike
thanks Mike, to be honest i don't know if it will still fit in there with the cage but i told Andrew i wasn't bothered about a dash as it just makes things harder to get to if needed and this car is function over form although whichever route i go it will look smart i assure you of that

Marc, i hope you will see the light with this car and prep it for some sort of competition, as its been built by a competition car builder ?
i would like to use the car in some sort of competition yes but i am unsure of what yet mark, maybe just a bit of sprinting to start off as its low risk and still a timed event

Andrew - fantastic progress as usual,
the only downside is with such an awesome level of fab work and overall thought in the shell conversion/geometry etc i cant let it down by fitting anything but top parts on it now and i'm out of cash after this stage of the build
looks like its time for me to travel up again to get the steering column and pedal box and seat position sorted anytime now, you think we can squeeze in that Tilton floor mounted pedal box? and think the new seats are ok?
hill climb would be good for a fast little car pal, how far was i off my guess on the costings ?
Yeah hill climb would be a good cheaper route to go in comparison to most.
As for costings i wont know that for some time yet mate, but its more than i have at the moment so the project will slow right down once back from Andrews unfortunately.
got myself a 200 block to start the engine build with when the cars back, it has cracks around a few of the head bolt holes so I got it for a bargain of £109
as I will be getting it long studded the cracks
will not be an issue.
Also I'm going up to see Andrew and the guys on Monday 1st feb to get the seat, column and pedals fitted up to suit me and get to have a proper look at the
build close up in the metal so can't wait
the block il be collecting on route as it's on the way to Andrews.
Should be due an update from Andrew soon too so watch this space
Wow, top works guys! just read it from start to now, def going to be following this now! Love the carbon goodies like the splitter, will you be making use of those air ducts in the splitter?
