Made clearance for the timing belt today
Going to neaten it up fully once I have an old belt to rest on and check
Dropped the cradle 8mm with some spacers I had laser cut and plated
Then cut a section from the inner skin of the bonnet to clear each side of pulley, gonna cut another 5mm forward to be safe
Been to chat to Tommy Field and he is gonna put together an exhaust and compressor housing for me so I can test fit a dummy turbo,
Also cut and welded up a bracket for fire extinguisher and electrical cut off switch
It does clear the windscreen and will be powder coated black when I get enough bits to get a job lot done

Good progress marc, One day i'd love to have the spare funds to build a car to this finish.
Just a thought, if i were to send you a cossie throttle body, how much to open it out on your lathe to knife edge on the inlet side?

I don't have a workshop going on but I have a lot I things to hand that come in very handy, a lathe, pillar drill, hand drill, hydraulic press, welder and grinders etc but it is not a workshop lol, wish it was
For small bends like I done on the brake bias mount and kill switch bracket I clamped 2 pieces of alloy right angle in the vice with what I want to bend in between, then just pushed it over evenly with a bit of bar, it's a easy cheap way to do it, not a perfect bend but plenty good enough

Taking my block to the machine shop tomorrow to have the 4 outer studs long studded properly,
Will be using smaller dia studs than the center 6 so as to not break through the oil ways, they will also mod my water pump to suit and be drilling and tapping the oil return directly into the block ala wrc style
Then il drop it down Tommy Fields to be built up

Mounted the remote filter housing to the passenger wing, nice and easy to get to so dropping the filter will be simple and clean
It is spaced out from the wing 20mm with a small block o aluminium that I etched and sprayed black
Can also make out in that pic above that now I have lowered the engine 8mm the intercooler pipe an throttle body line up almost perfect so all that is needed is a straight hose

Have committed myself to the engine build now so no spare money to buy other parts for the car so just be doing small things for a few months,
Cut away a bit more from around the cambelt area just to be safe
Just need to get an aerosol colour match then paint the area,
Now engine is out again, I checked and tightened all pas line fully and loctited the steering rack end as I never done it before
Next time it sees an engine is when the engine is built, done and dyno'd, hopefully making around 480bhp - 520bhp with any luck
Pulled the wings off today too so I could bond in some black mesh around the vents, done the front bumper as well but no pics as yet

Fitted my 30mm hub centric spacers on the front so the front track now matches the rear
I've used M14 studs in the flange and M14 studs in the spacers along with the stud sleeves so they should be extremely strong and fingers crossed il have no issues shearing studs
Shows you how wide it is over a normal fiesta lol
Fills the arch nicely again now
