Will be worth the wait though

10K+ Poster!!
How's the wiring going? Mr Shead has got Rod coming in do do mine. Looks like it should be done and mapped in about 10 days. Hope to maybe get my supra diff in as soon as I get a few miles on it. Would be good to bring mine along to you sometime and see your car too.

Look forward to seeing the progress on yours then

WOW!!! Its looking like a real car!!! Absolutely stunning..... the amount of work is just ridiculous! I personally would have given up after a few weeks/months and torched it.
After all this, are you even going to want to use it?

Believe me mate I have had enough on more than 1 occasion but this is everything I have worked for over the last 5 odd years, every hour, every poxy shift, every double and treble shift there is no way im not finishing it and letting someone else inherit all the hard work and grief I have put in, no way
I will use it every chance I get mate, that's why I am also looking to buy my own flat bed/recovery truck so I can take it to any track etc whenever I fancy it

while the car is away i have started the new garden workshop
The roof truss is just a mock up to check the pitch looked ok etc, want it with a little space to store long metal/tube etc in the roof area if needed
Going to do the roof truss' properly tomorrow and do the front wall with the window framing
Garage is also still getting re vamped but nothing major, started the garden workshop while i wait for a few bits for the garage and a mate to do some more wiring
It's going from a car build to a diy thread for a little while lol

Small update regarding the wiring loom,
Got emailed the final cad drawings for the chassis loom today for me to approve, which i did and the looms are being made over the next few days, Simon is away all next week on holiday but i am going down there the week after he is back to check over everything before its properly installed in the car and picking it up a week later roughly, so aiming for the 13th/14th give or take a couple of days
There is a couple of things that may change once the car is back but have do be done a certain way for now due to timescale, they are the centre switch panel which is currently an abs plastic box carbon clad to look a bit nicer, this may be changed for a carbon fabricated box,
The other is the mounting plate for steering wheel buttons, this is a tricky 1 as i have a 90mm dished wheel so having buttons on a plate mounted to the wheel which makes the buttons easily pressable with both hands on the wheel will need a trick bit of moulded up carbon so for now they are on a flat piece that i have to reach through to press as its the only way right now, but the same as the switch box, we can not afford to wait weeks on end to have these made while the loom is done so i can get the car back and change these whenever i get a chance as they are both on quick disconnect plugs for ease of removal,
Pictures in a few weeks when things are all finished of course

Cheers lol
It's being done in 4 sections,
Main harness
Rear under floor harness
Front left harness
Front right harness
The front right & left sections are for the lights/wiper motor/washer pump/fans/indicators and horns and are a seperate plug and play loom to a bulkhead connector on each side so in the event of accident or fire damage they can be replaced on there own without a whole new loom

More loom progress from Simon @ Si-Leck motorsport wiring
Left and right front looms come through bulkhead in arch area on multi plugs
Wires galore
Dashboard switch panel with re settable breakers instead of fuses and fire/electrical kill switches
Main switch panel
Not quite finished but 99% complete
So far so good
