I have no cut outs but the pistons had the outer lip skimmed down a while ago, will this be enough ? head measures 138.8.

Done some more today and layed a few bits on to get an idea of what its gonna look like, rocker cover has come up really well i think, should all look good once under the bonnet, wrapped the turbo and exhaust manifold also today which took ages to do and get right,

Forgot to put the picks of the turbo up, all wrapped in thermo-tec black wrap, took 5 15ft rolls to do this, never again

if i was you mate id double check the piston to valve clearance before you run the motor ,

i wouldnt assume its going to clear ,

at least that way if it dont clear you can send it to me

for what it takes to check ,

cheaper then a new head thats for sure ,

as beef said, check the clearence, do a dummy build up with plasticine to make sure it clears

also, i assume you've got a breather pot cos i can see a hole in the cam cover - if you have you dont need to use the kidney box, get rid of it completely and just use an adapter from the block to the pipe of the breather pot ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RS-Cosworth-Pi...1%7C240%3A1318 )

I would remove the heat protective covering from the turbo as you need as much heat away from it as posible, if you leave it on the exhaust housing will crack!
the manifold will be fine just the turbo needs sorting.

Little update, i recieved my new donar pistons today which im gonna use the gudgeon pins out of, there 1.6 pinto ones, i fitted one of the pins in my cossie rod and it fits perfect no play at all. They are ever so slighlty to big to fit in the piston so a tiny bit of honing to do then they should be a perfect fit aswell, crank, flywheel and pistons are going off tomorrow to be machined, so all i have to do at the minute is make some templates on the outside of the sump so i can have my ally welder friend turn it into a big winged sump, whilst i make the inetrnal gated baffles for it, should eliminate any further oil starvation and this happening again, wish me luck.

Is the block and cam cover 2 different shades mate? When I did the cover in G454 I took a samco and got it colour matched. Looked pretty much bang on in the flesh.

Ay up my old car lol, , No mate they are all painted with the same yellow out the same tin, samcos matched pretty well last time around with the cam cover when they were all cleaned up, so that will be another job on the list, was thinking of welding all the holes up under the bonnet and smoothing it all what you reckon ?
