Default Mk1 Fiesta - ST170 Turbo - Update- GT30

After selling the Cossie fancied doing another Zetec Turbo Fiesta whilst I save for a BIG power Mazda RX7.

So been picking up bits all summer and got some proper bargains, so much bigger spec than my last Fiesta:

New rods and pistons: (against old ones)

Omex 600 and Loom with base map:

T35:

ST170 Engine and Rover inlet (paid £150 for both)

Mtx with custom driveshafts, gear linkage and mounts for a Fiesta mk1/2:

Was going to fit it all to a base spec mk2 Fiesta I picked up cheap, but then this mk1 shell came up and I fell in love with it.
the shell has not only been restored and resprayed but has eccentric top mounts and adjustable TCAs which should help traction.

Also bought a Turbosmart Eboost to limit boost in each gear and a set of Drag Raidals to help get firmly into the 12s at the pod.

So far put the 7x13 Capri Pots on and sprayed them white:

Update soon.

Update from progress last week:

Engine nearly finished, head changing colour!

And then started lining up the MTX with a spare block...BIG problems to come! Passenger side inner wing isnt too far away thanks to what has already been done by the 5 speed box, but probably need to drop the tie bars to clear for sure and some work to fit the mount for it.

Drivers side needs mega work for the clearance of oil pump/crank pulley and going to get an custom engine mount made. Me and a few mates looked at it today and may well have a go at doing it but want it done quick for Central Day so may well send it to someone.

looks like a hell of a lot of work to get this up and running for central day but good luck it would be nice to go up the strip next to it.

Engine WOULD have been going in today if I hadnt been so hung over and just out of bed!

Really itching to get it on the road driving so putting a standard box in it for now, or maybe a stright cut quaife. Chassis rail has been modded to fit engine, and started plumbing in the direct port nitrous too

Get some pics later as I am popping down the garage.

We just endeed up standing round talking

Quick pics:
Coilovers now on, but having trouble with the top mounts, so not sitting quite right yet

Love the way it looks anyhow

Nitrous nearly done, going straight for a extra 100bhp with a maximiser

And started painting where the chassis and engine mount has been fabricated, which you have to do to fit a Zetec in a mk1.

Bit of luck ill have the engine mounted tomorrow, but still need a clutch, gear linkage and driveshaft
