some more pictures of the respray..
 the roof had a few dings in there dont know how they got there tho?!   some wanker kicked my door in earlier this year so hadta filler it upp   nasty gash on the side of my car...this was on the car when i brought it dont know how that happened either..  fillered up    this sticker was on th bumpers when i brought it  primered it down    theres me looking a mess  newspapered the windows up  primering the major bits of the car         arches primed with a few coats - ensure no rusting will start - bodywise my car is rust freeee!!  wet the floor down  mixing the paint up

after you paint a car your meant to go over it with 1500 grit wet dry paper and then buff it out with a buffing machine
using g3 paste you get rid of all the "orange peel" that there is. i went over the entire car with 1500 grit paper and machine buffed it out this is the roof one side has been buffed out the other side has just been 1500 down.. you can see the difference  just some more random pics of machine buffing it out

ok everyone just uploaded some pics i took with a frends camera - its not amazing quality will get some proper pictures taken when i can but for now...
     tried to be a bit artsy with the camera angles what ya think?

personally i think them pictures dont justify how good the car looks...the main problems with my car which i need sorting once i have some $$$$
refurb the rims redo the tints engine conversion once thats all done then it'll be looking super mintyyyyy |

looks kool mate done a nice job.....going by them pics i agree with you on the sanding takin the piss i have recently done my shell and have only done small bit off painting before but i enjojed it bar the sanding lol
i think that nasty cash as you call in may be its had a rear 1/4 put in it in its day may be wrong though pop the boot rubber off and have a good look at the lip to see if you can see the join or diffrence in spot welds Last edited by Paul Serious One; 20-11-2009 at 08:04 PM. |

if ur willing to spend extra money..get one of them orbital sanders that way u can get it done quickly..they sand down anything without needing to wet it 1st..this is a 1 off and i was ona real tight budget so manual sanding for meee!

it was during the summer so there wasnt any water but for the next car i respray gonna take the doors and windows off ...
but dont think i'l b doing a respray for a while..rst conversion is next on my to do list... |

more pics....
cleaned up my new samco hosingggg wooo   cylinder head rs lump coming out of the donor car..  a cheeky picture!    almost in!!   look how low the car looks!   ive bin reading up researching etc and ive decided to not put the engine in straight away but to save up and get the block pressure tested, skimmed, repainted, the works!! i dont want to put the engine in and then have problems with it but to build it and take my time get the lump in...u knowww....just have everything perfect!!  ah well ill be back soon with some more updates thanks all for reading my thread |
