Default Crank difference??

Hi can anyone help me, im currently in the planning/buying parts stages of building an RST lump and have just bought a reground crank from an ebay dealer/shop..He has now just emailed me to ask model and year of car...
I have previously owned a series2 rs turbo and have alot of literiture on the engine and nowhere can i find that there should be a difference as a frst and an erst are basically the same but with small diferences...ecu, fuel managment and crank sensor. I havent received the bottom end yet so i could not give him the year of the motor as i dont know..have i just made a boo boo or am i just paranoid...any help would be much appreciated ..
