Default My ST170, got to love rusty fords...

Not quite your usual standard of resto on here but tis my first Ford in a while so thought I'd stick it up..

Bought it as a tatty uncared for car needin a fair bit of tlc.. main issue was that it had a fair bit of rust even though it was a 52 plate. I put this down to the fact it lived by the sea all its life so had seen its fair share of salt. Underneath is 100% solid and was just cosmetic so did a deal and brought it home..

When I got it back:

Gave it a good clean and got it ready to go to my work to have the back end sorted out

Left it at my work for one of the guys to do in his spare time

Got it back and put the trim and that back on.. Looks a lot better although its not the best job. Will do for now till I decide how long I'm keeping it.

Lowered it 40mm, changed belt and gave it a good checkover

Thats how it looked till I sold the ST wheels last week due to them being pretty tatty, replacements should be here tommorow. Went for a set of RS7 soft spokes, managed to get a brand new set from ford for decent money aswell..

Will update it once the wheels are on..

Tried to find a picture of one before I ordered them but had no joy.. They seam to suit everything else fine so fingers crossed.. It was either RS7's or cossie wheels but my other half uses the car for her work every day so didnt want any rubbing or that for her to moan about, will be bad enough when a wheel gets some kerb filing practice.. lol

I'm from Fife in Scotland..

Its the standard ST shocks with 40mm lowering springs. Thye were just budget ones off ebay for now. Drives pretty well on them but the back end needs to be lower, will sort that out next week..

Uploading pics of it on the soft spokes now..

Fitted some fresh plates aswell, pretty happy with the way its looking. Shame one of the wheels turned up with a bit of damage. Hopefully get a replacement sorted out.

Not a fan of the new rims sorry - too soft for the 'new edge' design style....
