Escort cosworth restoraition wih improvements - Page 2

Hi guys time for an update as iv bin to lazy to upload the pics but finally pulled my finger out my ass

and uploaded them
First stripped down and sprayed my brake servo and abs unit

Also got me new oil drain for the turbo and sprayed and fitted the firebox thing for the breather system

Got my crossmember all done and powder coated to

Pic of the engine with a few other bits done

My air filter with the gt30 adapter and elbow

Also took my dash out never seen so many wires in my life

Started makin a wiring loom for all my gauges and bits

Pic of my dash ready to go in. Not for a long time tho

And lastly the pile of bits that keeps building up ready to bolt back on

More updates soon hopefully

did abit more yesterday stripping a few bits off the shell engine bay is empty now apart from the wiring loom which i will take out when i strip the interior

rite guys (and girls) time for a long over due update the car is booked into the bodyshop for a full respray in a week and a half now so iv been getting it all stripped heres pics how it is now. Although im having to put bits bak in cause of lack of storage anyway heres the pics

and at long last the underneith is finished (shitist job ever but worth it)

and lastly my car is now rollin on some bad ass 8s

and a frame i made to move the shell around

thats it for now but will soon be in fresh paint

Rite guys time for an update
First of all the car is at the spray shop and is now in primer and should be in colour any day but cant get any pics till it comes back.
Finally got my grp a diff mount now

Got me calipers mounted and new studs in

The rear end is just about finished now just brake lines to do

and i no its overkill but im pait marking all the bolts so im not going over them all the time checking there tight

Me new track rod ends bit more heavy duty :icon_smile:

Spacer plate as i havent got enough holes for sender units

New turbo oil feed

Waterbanjos for turbo

Also started heat wrapping my manifold but ran out so will finish it saturday

Lastly me new cam sensor all fitted thanks to Martin

Bit more of an update got me new fuel rail and injectors fitted what a ball ache that was cus iv fitted a 10mm plenum spacer any way heres some pics

Also made a new water pipe up to go from the heater matrix to the thermostat houseing as the old one didnt fit with the bigger turbo

also got the turbo and manifold perminantly attached now

and built the engine back up again after taking it to reyland to have the timeing done

thats it for now more updates soon

Absolutely stunning so far mate well done. May I ask what you are doing with the gasses from the wastegate... are you running a pipe back into the downpipe or running a screamer pipe???

im gonna run a screemer pipe to start of with and mite run it into the down pipe if the noise starts to annoy me but i doubt it will

update got my new braided engine loom

also my water pipes finished now just need to cut the u shaped pipe down

Also get the shell back from the body shop this weekend so i can start putting it back together

Panel wipe and a stiff brush its a horrible job and takes a long time but worth it in the end
