Didn't real RS500's start life as std 3drs??

It was re shelled with a brand new shell years ago (can't you read? 1st post 1st paragraph!!!!), I really don't care if the battery tray was cut at that time or not, the second fuel rail clears without. My car will never please the purists as its 4x4

But then it will never be for sale so who cares?

So far I have bought the following new parts:

front indicators
coolant header tank
washer bottle
side mouldings
side stripe and boot badges
OZ replica wheels
500 plate
355mm front brakes
225/35x18 tyres

still need loads more stuff

Nothing too barmy, not 100% decided on how much is needed yet. It has to be responsive and quiet though.

Your last pm was 7.12pm last night. Gearbox plate arrived (thanks Paul NY Spares

) clutch fitted and all back together, will check other bits in the morning.

The original road RS500s used a standard 3dr cosworth shell, as this one was reshelled later in life it uses a 909 replacement road shell which were made in 1989 these have a number of subtle differences from the 1986 shells, which are mainly updates from the mk2 sierra such as different fuse box hole, smaller hole for the boot light and lower rear tow eye.

Yes cool plate.

I do like the wheels, but they are very motorsport... and I think the split rim type wheel that Paul and Brammer and Carlo run just suit road cars alot better.

all the arches have now been rolled due to mr h getting 18" wheels for it

sides have all been sprayed with a good coat of spray filler to get rid of any ripples as its a black car it needs to be verry flat

then its a good guide coat so it is easier to make flat before primer
