It's an Astra Rear Wiper mate. Straight swap yeah. Have got the standard one back on mine as came back to my car one day with the wipers all up and they'd snapped the rear one off, gotta love a bit of jealousy eh?

Cheers peeps!

Looking great as always mate!!

Why don't you get Jamsport to supercharge it if you are going to get them to map it anyway they already have packages out for the Fiesta ST engine to bolt on I'm sure they can knock something up for you.

Cheers guys. I rate the AP coilies highly for the money. They don't come with adjustable damping so for what they are I think they are brilliant!

Not alot to update here, but I attended the Performance Ford Trackday on the 24th of November.

Fitted a rear strut brace for the day and stripped the back seats out, I need to gain any advantage possible with little power lol.

Bought some Ferodo DS2500's:

What an awesome set of pads!

Some shots from the day, mostly official photos I bought after:

Car performed well all day. We've worked out I did about 85 laps or so on track, and enjoyed every second of it! Brakes are by far the best upgrade on the car, didn't fail on me once all day, no fade or anything and I was hard on the brakes every corner. Coilovers did well too. Just lacked power on the straights where I lost everything I'd kept up with through the twistier sections so that's an area that needs attention lol.

No real mishaps on the day, couple of sideways moments under heavy braking where I was still getting used to a stripped out back end, and a couple of twitchy sideways moments around Paddock Hill Bend where I was getting faster throughout the day but it's all good fun lol. Definetly recommend a trackday to anybody thinking about it.

Oh, and a shot of my tyres even after a 20 mile drive to my mates garage to get new tyres put on lol:

Very true Twins, if I got a decent engine it would be something I would consider, for now it's my everyday car and with 103.5bhp would look a bit pony lol

Cheers Rich

Have you made your mind up on what engine setup you are going to do? Are you still thinking of turboing the ST engine?

I can't make my mind up at all.

Ultimately I want a turbo ST engine. But Supercharging is both cheaper and easier which is why everybody is doing it. My knowledge of engines is so little I wouldn't wanna be trying to convert an engine to turbo but this means paying silly prices. Got a few mates who can do it but I still have no idea what I'd need and would be paying full whack for prices. Also the kit that Alan12121212 has on his car is no longer sold, but I'd prefer to run a forged engine with a decent sized turbo but it's just looking so expensive (6k+) from things I've added up of rough prices. That's more than I wanna spend on a Fiesta engine!

Another idea was to buy Alans Fiesta and swap the engines, but that's alot of work and the inital outlay is buying Alans car and then converting it to standard to sell and make some money back.

I just don't know to be honest, still got bits to collect to actually convert the ST engine as standard (air con pipes, power steering pipes, engine mounts etc etc). I can put the engine in for the time being but if I decided to then go Turbo it would have to come out again to build the engine up, but if I went Supercharger it could be done in the car and within a day....so much to think about lol. I definetly want it to be quicker though, it's all thats letting it down

Probably the best zetec s I've ever seen! Lovely mods and great plans too..

Engine prospects sound good!

Turbo will give you the most (usually) amount of torque.. which is what will pull you down the road

I'd put an ST engine in and use that for a while before going turbo/SC. Maybe add a few little tweaks. Put lighter front seats in as well with a half cage.

Hi Graham Ive just bought a 55 plate zetec s in silver not the best colour i know but any way ive been waching your thread for a while now and its looking really good i especially like the facelift mirrors I actually liked it so much i wanted to have a go at doing it myself but i have a few questions to ask before i atempt it.

How do you remove the old mirrors?

How do you install the new ones & how do the electric and heated functions work?

and anything else you can tell me that will help

Will be very grateful for your advice

Cheers Kris
