Mk3 C reg Escort Cab Restoration
Hey All,
New to the Escort world (I'm a Mini lover by trade), this is my other half's Escort Cab. Bought two years ago as a cheap Cab for the summer (right time right place type of price) but she fell in love with it and now after many Mini restorations she's asked me to do it for the summer for her
The intention is to do all the external welding get it all in primer and then strip the engine bay and the inside doing all the little repairs and touch ups that it needs. Once all this is done the shell will be sent off for a low bake oven top coat and laquer, whilst in the time its away i'll be stripping and rebuilding the engine (any tips or hints on uprating it abit while its apart. Hint, Hint!) and suspension (polyflex bushes all round).
The running gear is all in good working order but needs fully stripping back and chassis blacking all round and fitting the bushes.
The engine (besides having a hot start problem, something to do with the accumulator I'm led to believe) is fine although a bit leaky around the seams.
The electrics have been attacked by a blind, deaf, Muppet!! !!! so I'll be sorting them as i go.
But other than that she's not to bad........anyways on to the pics!

Cheers for the comments, fingers crossed a few more weeks and it'll be done. Although the engine may take a bit longer, btw any tips on giving the old CVH a bit of a kick up the arse when i rebuild it?
