OMG, I just love this thread and am so amazed at how much work is going into a 'tina. Like Steve (1-PD) the MK2 was (is) my fav Ford. I owned and modified about five, starting in 1977 at the age of 18. My last was this V6. All built in the street under a plastic sheet. Even sprayed the Diamond White and added the tan vinyl roof myself. Sold in '81 to get the money to complete my V6 Pop.

YB 390hp 400ftlb I do run quite big sticky tyres 245 45 15, 2nd gear foot down came on boost followed by a big bang .

Guessing your engine will have similar torque,

Going for larger 18t two piece shafts and gripper diff after Christmas.

Jamie,

I will start off on 195 x 50 x 15's and with an auto box, there wont be the shock loads you experience every time you change gear, so fingers crossed.

I shall start looking out for a Volvo or 8.8 inch ford.

Yer it is a hard set up 5 link, coil springs, paddle clutch etc. but it did put it down very well hardly any wheel spin and took of straight as an arrow, been assured I wont be able to break the two piece shafts and the gripper diffs have life time warranty so fingers crossed for next year hopefully get more than 250 miles out of it.

A V6 Capri axle would be easier. But, of course, you don't do easy
