H reg mk3 3i/16i 90spec 80spec thing
confusing title for a confusing car gonna make an attempt to keep up to date with my cars progress on here here it is when i saw it advertised (note grille and things like wipers!) when i bought it..... no wipers no bulbs no relays no chrome no dipstick no mirror glass no interior mirror no breather filter no fan no seat belts changed steering wheel no horn no horn wiring no numberplate lights no boot lock (obvious from pic) no wiring into boot different grille no airfilter or piping just what i can remember... i had initally planned to drive this car 200miles back on trade plates, on the previous owners word that the car was road worthy and i'd make it back with ease. he rang me when i'd set off (luckily for him with a car transporter) to report a fuel leak which later turned out to be condensation dripping from a hole in the exhaust i had it on the ramp straight away for a pre MOT check, underside is very clean suprisingly, aside a squashed outer sill, upon jacking the car up the NSR wheel which looked out of line had an alarming wobble to it when jacked up, upon further inspection a very bent 7mm spacer was removed from one side! eliminating the wheel wobble.... there wasnt one on he other side, nor a need for one on either side!? strange... can just make out here where its had accident damage repairs to the chassis leg and inner wing to! pics from the previous owner of it in Mk4 form, and being converted panels not many progress pics so far mainly fixing things as you can imagine had to find a mk3/4 fuse box in a scrap yard and take all the relays and correct fuses buy all new bulbs and fit them get the sidelight bulb holders and resolder these into the look mount headlights properly change grille (been given a knackered standard grille for now but it looks miles better IMO) remove homo numberplates source and fit seatbelts fit an escort steering wheel and all horn wiring assy! fit horn and rewire in fit intake pipe and air filter source and fit numberplate lights wire up numberplate lights bolt in seat! still got loads to do before it can even see a road but i feel like im heading in the right direction! dont like having to double check everything but ive no option now looking at some of the workmanship! few pics as is and my 40s to go on with my 16i rocker cover when it eventually sees the road

thinking of doing yea, its got some supports misssing from the rear strut tops, looks almost like its missing a front strut brace type fitment onto what i can only describe as a swivel point to the rear legs,
seen here
i was going to rip it all out completely and fit it propperly, repaint it either all white or all black, but a friend put the idea in my head of getting it trimmed or wrapped. will have to see i think

Hes a grade A wanker, hes on my MSN for some reason so i just told him about this.
Said he wrongly advertised it and its a dog compared to what he said, he laughed and seemed to think it was ok because he let it go a little bit cheaper.
Fucking nob.

i spotted it on driftworks, bit more progress today, all lights are now working, horn and wipers are fixed to
only a few bits and bats to do before it will pass an MOT then its time to rip it to bits again and start from scratch
the "radiator from the scrap yard" he's fitted is pissing out to, quality fix!...

That's really cool! Looks well too.....
I bet if the Traffics had a clue about older cars you'd be getting a pull in that, but they seem to be clueless about them so prob wouldn't even clock anything odd with the plate
