Default Tidying up my engine bay, New I/C and rad, then off to the rollers!!!

Thought Id show you all my tarted up engine bay, new hoses, pro alloy intercooler, radiator and cam cover. Ive had the parts for months now but just never got round to it, so had a day off work last week and thought id fit all the bits!

New bits to bolt on...

Picture if how engine bay looked before I started

First things first all the old bits had to come off!

New power steering hose...

New rad Vs the old rad

New I/C vs old one, cant believe the difference in size!:O

New I/C ready to go in, Its a very very snug fit, but never the less its a perfect fit! Very impressed with the fit and quality

Ive fitted a header tank off a 4x4 cos as my one was starting to split very badly, I was expecting it to go pop at anytime! This meant buying a hose to convert the two! Turns out this was abit short so had to lengthen it with some small copper pipe used as a joiner with some of the original hose.

After trimming down and wrestling with the hose to get them in position, I then fitted my new cam cover and my engine bay now looks like this...

Im well chuffed with the way it looks now! Just hope it stays as clean as it looks now! lol

I finished fitting the parts on friday night, then I was off to the rolling road early saturday morning! Went just for a power run with some mates but then ended up getting it re-mapped!

I knew the car was running rich and could be set up better, so as I was there i thought id get it set up again. The first power run it produced 334bhp and 232lb/f on a poor map. Then after a few hours on the rollers and a trip the Mcdonalds, the fueling was much better and the engine sound much crisper and it produced 356bhp and 242lb/f. Im running green injectors so they are right on their limit now.

Overall very happy and was a good day out! only problem is my turbo, its not holding a constant pressure and its fluctuating. So need to do some investigating!

Hope you enjoy all the pics!
