little update, havnt really done much due to xmas so close

but all little things help aswell lol

rear wiper in and all connected up, tailgate is finished now, just need to get the cover

managed to get some boot stops, so adjusted these and fitted new screws

lower spolier fitted, i siliconed the around the wholes just incase any water gets through

found a grommit for the rear screen wire

boot floor painted, i may cut the panel out on the rigght and use some rivinuts, so i can have a bolt on panel so its easier access to the fuel pump if ever needed, im unsre yet

needed a heater box as mine was broke, these things are so hard to get its unreal, i paid a lot of money for this lol, but didnt mind as it need it and its in full working order

been to ford a few times and got some clips and bolts

what bolts i couldnt get i went to a local place who supply a lot of manufacturers, they could match almost every bolt for the rear beam, bar the inner or outer ones which s a shame, luckily i have my ones off the sierra that have covered 4k, so ill send these to the chrome platers and have all the bolts chromed aswell as washers etc

also in the pic is a pair of late spec mirrors as i hate the big chunky things lol

car cover for when its all built

i brought my bumpers and sideskirts in the house to stop the bad weather getting on them whale tail in attic lol

all my powdercoated stuff still in bubble wrap until needed, still have more stuff to powdercoat

smoked rear nomad lights and a green top level 8 with pectel board

when i was down the scrappyi noticed a granada in the corner, so had to have these, not bad for Ł4 hey

also as im going full aeroquip full lines i carnt use the std fuel and brake pipe clips underneath, so i bought some small p clips that i can mount the brake pipe onto, will know next week if they work or not

and a random pic of some engine bay clips fitted aswell as new bonnet cable

also new wheel arch liner clips

next is to wait for my abs pump oto arrive and get that all fitted then i can get the steering coloumn back in and pedal box

was bored today as i carnt really do much to the car as of yet, so thought id strip the abs module down and clean it up abit, and found the best wheel silver paint in the world i think gives a proper shine

anyhow, heres what it looked like

removed the brake connectors

what it looks like in bits, had to drill one of the small bolts out that hold the electrical connector at the back, so will get one of these tomorrow

then the wheel silver went on and ended up looking like this

back plate

the main bracket and the gold part im gona send to have electroplated gold again, hopefully i can get there tomorrow so i can have it back for thursday

also, my sidelights were pretty crap discoloured, so as im going twin headlights i thought i colourcode them, so far there ready to paint but ill do it over the weekend

the lights

flatted ready for primer, 1 to be done

primered

and flatted ready fro paint, just need to ge the paint

tomorrow im down ford to get the sideskirt clips as they never turned up today, so order some shit gaurd clips aswell to finish the arches off

Nice work... wish I was making the same progress. It's slow going for me, been mainly sourcing parts.

Fitted a Sierra LHD ABS unit so I don't need the ABS block anymore, less pipes... Had the overhead trim redone in black... not sure I like it now. Also gonna be using a small turbo head. Loads left to do.

A few random pics:

Sorry for the thread jack...

Yes, while the headliner was out I removed and painted it with interior dye (spray can). Then I misplaced the trim around the opening...

I use http://www.duplicolor.com/index.html (Fabric and Vinyl) paint which is available at the local autoparts store here in the states, I also use the same paint for all the interior plastics... does a pretty good job.

There is so much more little crap that I need to get... anyone know where I can get the drop links for the rear roll bar, gas cap and key? Also looking for a set of clocks would prefer a set with non working lights as I have a set of Birba faces.

i'd definatley cut out the boot floor for access in the future - its a tank off job in the future otherwise which aint too much fun.

the motorsport shells had a removabale panel as standard,

quick update so far

went down the elctro platers to get my nuts and bolts etc, but they lost my droveshaft washers and 1 diff plate bolt not to bothered as the one i dd get came out crap lol , so have pm monster for nice new ones
anyhow heres some pics fo you

put the abs module back together, really chuffed the way its came out

had this in vinegar over night as it was looking horrible, it took the zinc off though , did paint it gold but the paint was crap so took it back so its clean again

all finished and trial fitted aswell

also, got a new t piece from ford and the fittings for it

as im going to use braided pipes for the fuel line si carnt use the std clips, so got some of these for the brake pipe

finished

and finally i put another light in the boot as i know the 1 is going to be crap, so fitted
another on the other side
