small update
got my rear beam, roll bars, hubs etc back from powdercoaters, so just need to get some bushes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, brakes etc to get the rear beam in so pics of that when the time comes
ive refitted the wiring loom back in, trying to work out where each bit goes
now the car came with no tailgate wiring, so i went down a scrap yard and got a couple of grommits and the tailgate wiring complete from a mk6
colour codes were different so i replaced it all inc the 3 pin connector, so im not going to know if it works until i connect the battery up but i carnt see it not working
just need to get the grommit for this wire
then i was left with the boot release and boot light switch, no one had a loom and no one would split one, so as it was only 3 wires i made my own, as i had 2 connectors that were the same colour coded wires as in the tailgate, so im hoping that these are the boot release etc
so made the start of the loom first with all new wires
then was to feed them through the tailgate and through the roof with the grommit aswell
then from the roof down in the rear quarter
then to doin the connectors up and mount them out the way
all mounted and connected inside the tailgate aswell
and now i have both grommits as they should be, 1 for screen jet and the other for boot release
i also wanted to heat prrof my inner wing and chassis leg on the drivers side, so bought 2 rolls of heat barrier tape and got to work, hopefully this will do its job as it should
went to ford to buy a new bulkhead bush as my one was in 3 pieces aswell so this is all fitted with its original heatshield on teh out side aswell
then i cleaned the fuel fillar neck up and put that back together
now the plan is to snad the boot floor down and just give it a quick lick of paint to try and bring it back up as it should be, so ill update on this when i do it
its getting there slowly, but as its coming p for xmas i just have to watch what i spend on the car at the minute
