My Escort
righty everyone say hello to edwardo,
i brought this mark 6 3 door escort off the third lady owner, therefore it had only realisently had a new clutch replaced in october,
he is very tidy with only one spot of rust on the rear arch. the bodywork has a few car park dents which are expected for a car of its age
since i brought it i have replaced the wheels with these
since there there have been a number of problems with him.
one night there was a heavy rainfall and i woke up to this
found out that the battery tray was leaking
so i fiberglassed and hammerited the tray back together. i thought this solved it only stopped most of the water gettin in so i took out the interior and heater pipe on the passenger side to find a crack which i have since filled with bathroom sealent. whilst i fiberglassed the tray up and i cleaned out the water channels.
then one day it wouldnt start so mr AA man came out and got it running again and told me the battery was dead so next day replaced it and it lasted one day and wouldnt start again, so i replaced the battery tray. Which temporarly solved the problem so after my dad comes to help me fix it but we couldn't so Mr RAC man came out and commended my new battery as it wasnt holding any charge. So i took it back and replaced it and havent had any problems since *touch wood*.
i have painted the rear drums
The mirrors are now colour coded.
Next on the list of jobs to do is a full service and maybe lower him when i can afford to.
stage one of restoration edwardo is underway,
another coat will be applied then sanded then sprayed to make it sparkly hehe
