Default XR3i Engine Modifications

Im taking the original engine out of my Mk5 Escort to strip but want to know what kind of modifications could i do to it while its out? Its the 105 Bhp 1.8. Its just not enough.

Any help???

If it's an XR3i, then the engine should be 130ps.....

dont forget inlet, injectors and ECU or you wont see much difference.

the inlet and injectors are the same

put 2.0 mondeo injectors in

Just chuck in a 2.0 engine!

Much cheaper, easier and more effective than piddling around with anything else!
