Exciting / Boring.. RWD SVA?
hi,
I got bored waiting for my rs to come out the body shop so ive started a bit of a mad RWD Fiesta Mk1 attempt.
My mate however keeps scaring me with SVA test stories etc.. Does anyone know what the deal is as regards converting a FWD car to RWD and the 'legalities' ?

Your mate is correct, it should go for SVA as you will have made an alteration to the Monocoque (shell) i.e cut out floor or cut in a tunnel for prop.
It's classed as a radically altered vehicle and would end up on a Q plate when it passes.
However the current M.O T system doesn't have a way of rejecting a Radically altered car and forcing you to go for SVA, although there is a possibility this will change soon, they will just test what's presented.
