2.0 Zetec mk1 fiesta
Just thought Id share the story of my car since we recently did a fair amount of work on it
from the start.....
This is how the car looked up until a couple of months ago....
And a vid of the 0-60 at FF
Then it came off the road and the work began!
Cutting and welding.....
Engine Test fitted......
Modified cradle and gearbox bearer to clear exhaust and driveshaft....
End of sump cut off to clear bearer....
Engine In....
Home made downpipe until I can afford a propper system 8)
the carpark
And this is the car as it stands now
The spec of the new engine should bring it over the 200bhp mark and it really does go well
Hope you all like

Thanks mate There were times when I thought why did I take it apart but its worth it now
the spec of the engine is:
2.0 obviously
J.E. high comp. pistons (runs 11.6:1 CR)
Eagle rods
ARP bolts everywhere
Multi layer head gasket
Knife edged crank
Clevite77 heavy duty big end bearings
Ported head
Weber 45s
Kent 2002 cams
Vernier pulleys
Ported Dunnell manifold
Dunnell 3D management
Baffled sump
CVH Efi flywheel with a bit skimmed off
Alloy underdrive crank pulley

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Nice Mk1, lovely..
odd question, why are the wheels of the other car in the garage pixelated out ?? Just seems a real odd thing to do.
If it's private just tell me to F off....

Very cool car!
One little recommendation though... before you do any more welding get yourself on a course at the local college or at least get a local profesional welder to give you a mornings worth of pointers.
Looks like you had too little currant or too much wire speed when you were welding up you chassis.

as always ,its the welds you dont see that end up being the best
the decision was made that the bay will be tidied in the future, so a flap wheel will sort it all out anyway
if you look at the welding in my mk4 build, you'll see what i'm capable of.
p.s. KP, car looks shit mate :P

just wish myn will look like that one day.
without sounding like a pain in the arse, wher did u get ur mirrors from?
also uv gone to xr2 round lights, before u had clear indicators.
if u still have them would be interested in selling?

Never realised I hadnt updated this!
Engine bay was all sorted 2 years ago and the endine refitted- it went on to make 192bhp and run a 13.2 1/4 at santa pod, I then went to image and had a set of split rims made for the car!
fully rosejointed suspension
Engine bay finished
I then decided 18 months ago it was time for a change
Decided to go turbo with it, its nearly ready to be set up, heres where im up to with it all
