my 3-door story
im bored and thought id start one of these
so i was jumping about in this ,my second cossie(always wanted a 3-door though)
i bought this saph as you see with quads and multispokes,soon ditched head lights and wheels went for rs 7 spokes and where you see it on standard rims is how i sold it once it had to go to fund my 3-door project

i was out running one day local to me i came across a moonstone 3-door in a driveway in a really nice expensive neighbour hood,it was pissing of rain jan 06,i went up the drive had a look at the car it was siting high at the front,i assumed no engine,it had a sunroof and on a d-plate so i knew it was real,i tapped the door and the old man said,its my sons hes had at least 40 people ask over the years if its for sale and has always said no,but at this moment in time i think he might,he said it blew the engine 5 years and has sat here since,i passed on my number and got a call
he told me the spec and that he had traveled 300miles for it and paid quiet alot for it,and it cracked the head a week later(this was 5 years previous)and hasent turned a wheel since
but he had been rebuilding the engine bit at a time in the old mans garage,so we arranged a day to inspect it
me and my mate andy went down with a trolley jack and torches,went over the car and it was surprisingly solid
+hed sourced a long studded 200 block,cosworth racing pistons etc and had it all balanced
+it came with greys,500 cooler,chip,t4 etc
so we snapped it up,allbeit in boxes most of it,went down with the truck and lifted it,and took back to andys garage

so eventually we get in about it,remove oval side repeaters,aloy pedals and dodgy gear knob...lol
andy ran all new brake pipes and fuel lines,spent some fortune at wodford on gaskets and bolts etc,i took my new cooler off the saph and breather,we sent head off for skim,and i sent t4 to turbo technics Ł470 overhaul,
eventually got the car together,running on yellows and standard chip for running in
motd it(only needed an abs sensor)
i started the running in process,but brakes were shit and it was running a bit rough so booked into ava for a low load run just to check fuel etc
driving home seen smoke under bonnet pulled over and a half moon seal blew and oil everywhere
redone the rc gasket etc and oil pressure light was flickering on,looked at gauge 5psi..........NIGHTMARE
it had spun a shell after 120miles,i was gutted at this point
but we trusted seller and fired the bottom end in,we didint know how long it had been sat since he put it together
so engine came back out,new oil pump,bearings,gaskets bolts the lot,this time with more confidence i took it right down south to buy an xr4x4 off ebay and get the miles done,it ran ok
once ran in i drove to ava and changed to greys,stage 4 chip and 3 bar in car park
it wouldnt run,the injectors were seized,got a new set and on it went on decent oil
car made 345bhp@wheels

time moved on and needed big brakes so got a pair of 4 pot brembos from a 20v turbo fiat coupe,and zoo made me up brackets etc
so needed to get wheels that would accomidate,martin reyland supplied 6 spoke comps and i sourced goodyear f1s 235 rears and 215 fronts

end of last year i decided on bigger and better things so i set about doing the credit card over for some new stuff to make bigger power and better brakes front and back,alloy rad,rear strut brace,extra gauges,ported head,new managment,garage19 sweedish inlet,83lb injectors,alloy rail
and i removed the stereo,amps,subs etc cause the very few times i have the car out the last thing i want to listen to is music
il put up more pics and graphs etc tomorrow
but a big clap for still no paint

Not sure about mine yet col waiting on andrew getting round to starting it he is busy at the moment but shouldnt be long.
I was thinking t4,another chip & maybe bigger injectors.
Mine is a nightmare i cant be arsed getting it live mapped would just rather get a off the shelf chip.
I would be happy with it just running at the moment.

so the spending begun again i got brand new ap 330mm 4 pot front kit,300mm 4x4 rear set up with gen new calipers,rs500 lower boot spoiler,fully polybush kit(believe it or not still not fitted)
proper ggr breather,i sold the catch tank and 2 port breather and opted for sam as euans 3 port job,breath from both sides of the block,and it means i get to use the esco airbox i adapted ,which gave me 8bhp over the induction kit,a1 alloy fuel rail,and nick warples 26mm inlet 25mm exhaust ported heads,fitted with double valve springs
colins performance ecu,my car can now rev to 8k but limiter is set at 7800rpm

sound mate just gies a shout when andys got the lump out,id go t4 if i was you,ive never looked back
my mates run t34 and t38 all great performing cars,punchy as fek but the boost on t4 on full song,nothing comes close,apart from gt`s i suppose but never been in 1 of these equiped cars so cant comment
