Nice welding you got goin on there mate, any chance of some adjustable rear arms for my cosworth rear beam at all? with welding like that I know you would make it a top quality job

is it painted yet? Once it is it will be a massive mental step forward cos it looks almost finished. And will b all the encouragement you need to get on with the final push.

but it is ready for paint just trying to finish the rear suspension first

update time finally got my profiles for rear strut conversion

also finally got my front link pick ups welded on

the front tubes need cutting down to size still

i moved the front pick ups 245mm forward

ive also put a brace under the prop flange to mount the front lateral links to
similar to AG FOCUS SET UP

getting there bit by bit ill prime the inside & underneath over the week end

all the welding on the car is done with mig, the mods i done to the cradle ,struts &hubs are tack welded with mig then i take it to work & tig weld every thing so it looks better

im glad you like it im getting there bit by bit

i work for a local engineering company called underhill eng ltd we can make any thing from a stair case to a bridge with stairs & a lift shafts for the rail way. any thing out of heavy steel really ,i.e. i beam ,box section , channel & plate .we can do it in ally ,stainless or steel ,tig, sinergic mig manual mig ,oxy acetylene or stick .we also do polished stainless hand rail for princess yachts which is how we got the pipe profiler which is very handy

yes mate it is quiet a good company ive been there 27 years this september it all started with a crash repair centre which i worked in for 13yrs then i ran there commercial body shop for for 3yrs & ive been here 11yrs September so its given me a real good back ground to build my own car

heres the pics from todays efforts
first is etch primer

then is 3 coats of black two pack primer

next is to build up the interior & sort the fuel system out then its onto the body kit that i still have not started

looking good but why did you not just paint it wet on wet with the colour saves flating or scotchin it down?as the prep work looks ok

im not putting top coat on the inside this year until i get my new cage fitted & there was a bit of dust in the etch so i gave it a quick rub so it would look better for this season

in know the feeling about getting it finished for central day.
mines in pieces, slowly going back together now, but i sent my exhaust manifold of for ceramic coating yesterday and that takes 3 weeks, so wont be able to get too much done without it.
even if its all together it wont work so i cant set everything up around it.

fingers x'd for us both. lol
