Default MK5a Escort Project (Front bumper & grill painted!) 29/06)

Well i decided to sell the maroon encore after doing a fair bit of work on it. Anyway this came up for sale and wasnt to bad to be honest, had an MOT and the tax just ran out.

Anyway its only a 1.3(HCS) got a XR3 fron bumper, rear spoiler and some RS side skirts. It needs a bit of work doing.
Just need a proper mk5a bumper now

Is that an XR steering wheel and yes the gear knob will be changed when i can get it off!!

Will be putting these wheels on next week

are you putting RS lights on it? if so you will find it very hard to get multiplugs as most breakers wont want to cut the loom for just that plugs. Best way is to match up the wires from your loom and cut the ones in the light units then solder the coprresponding colours and shrink wrap the bare wire. Thats what I have done and it works fine.

Got a proper rear bumper as the last one was off a mk5b, looks alot better now just need to remove the mk6 badges.

Got a bit bored so sprayed the splitter black so see how it would look, turned out alright.

Did the grill while im on the look out for a smoothed one.

Need some help. Im trying to change the engine over from the mk6 as its alot better than the one in atm anyway im gonna need to change the loom aswell im guessing, ive made a start at taking it out what else do i need?

Do i need to take out:
Loom
ECU
Fuel tank (the mk6 is electric)
Can i keep the original fuel lines or do i need to change them too?

Also how would i seperate the loom just for engine part of it or do i need to change the whole lot?

Some help would be great thanks!

Bit of an update. Started taking the head and other bits off to change over. Just need to clean and paint a few bits before putting it back together.

Cleaned and painted the inlet manifold too

Been awhile since i last updated this, ive been busy with the engine and gearbox.

I changed the head for the other one i had, with 3 angle valve seats and new stem seals etc.

replaced the gearbox as the original one had no 3rd gear

Painted the box black aswell as the block. Done the manifold in silver and cleaned the red rocker cover.

Changed the Brake servo for a non rusty one lol, Done the cv gaitors and about to put some new bottom arms on.
Sprayed the chasis legs and most of the engine bay in stop chip to give it abit of protection.

Also passed my driving test

Pics!
