Default my sons go kart project

Bought my 7 year son this go kart for xmas it's a comer cadet, bought it cheap needing loads of work which is always my prefered option as even if it didn't I would have stripped it down anyway!
The engine was in a box in bits and the kart itself had sat unloved in a shed on a farm for years..
Anyway my dad rebuilt the engine while I set to on the kart, new plastics, tank, steering wheel, cables, nuts and bolts here and there and of course a go faster exhaust!
today we started it for the first time, had a problem at first as I didn't mix the oil and petrol well enough and karts don't run well on oil lol
anyway it now runs and sounds spot on, just need to do some final fettling and fit a new seat and it will be ready for xmas for him..

as bought

how it looks now

the first start on video

Can't wait to see his face on xmas day when he gets to see it for the first time, he has no idea at all!!

Looks spot on mate!

Might be able to pick up a padded seat cheap on ebay, remember when I was into karting. Back used to kill after hours in the plastic seats! lol
