just a few more pics. had it out in the daylight today & given it a good wash (top & underside) to get rid of all the grinding dust. so i just thought id add some more pics






befor i put it away i had a check to find all the dents. theres plenty of them, guess i should have been more carefull whils it was in the garage




i should be starting the prep work for painting very soon. it'll be painted in panel at a time as im limited by space (& very limited in skill lol)

started painting the shell. its not the most conventional way of painting a car but im limited by space & skill lol. so far its just the roof & offside wing.







gets a bit fumey in the garage lol




time for a beer between coats lol









gonna leave it a couple of days to dry the start wet flatting & compounding all the crap out. hopefully will have the other wing painted at the weekend, then it can be turned around & paint the rear panel/boot shut

there is a fair amount of crap in the paint but hopefully that'll polish out. fitting it all back together is probably the most fun part. its always great to see it taking shape

small update. been out & wet sanded the new paint with 1500 grit then 2000 then moped it with g3. this is the result & im pretty happy with it





& one to show the reflection (was the only thing i had at hand)



im now getting ready to paint the other wing

the passanger side wing is now painted. i'll hopefully turn the car round tomorrow then i can start on the back.





had it out in the sun today to see what it turned out like. theres still some work to do finishing the paint but im fairly happy with the result

been busy the last week. painted inside the boot just to tart it up a bit. painted the rear panel & one side. hopefully have the doors painted in the next week















starting to get a bit bored working on it now lol
