Default fiesta mk3 suggestions

On my fiesta I'm planning to put a zetec. I wish the zetec-e 2.0, but still don't know if the mountings go straight on or else have to been fitted. Another option is the fiesta 18 zetec engine, about this I want to know the standard components power potential eg crank 500bhp, rods, studs of rods, pistons, block, etc... Btw i'm from Malta so sry for my bloody english, still trying to learn it. Any help and suggestions on what can I do for my baby?

You can easily get engine mounts for the Zetec as the RS1800/XR2i_16v/Si came with the Zetec-E (silver-top) engine..

You will need to use a 1.6/1.8 sump, oil pump+pickup, water pump (ideally) if you use a 2L engine..

I've never seen a crank break, even at 550bhp, so who knows where its limit is!

Standards rods, well again never seen them break even at 300bhp when mapped properly.. I wouldnt want to use them above this though, just for sanity.

Head bolts, fine at 500+

Block.. never seen one break..

You seam to know a lot about Zetec engines

You said you have never seen a zetec crank break?

Have you built many Zetec turbo engines?

Ok, so I have in mind of putting a t3 turbo too (on the 18 fiesta zetec engine). What is necessary to be safe if running on 1 bar? for example do i have to change the bolts of the con rods? and better fuel pump? and so on. I wish too see 220-250bhp most, don't want more. what sholud I do?

Standard rods are fine at that power, you'll need a large T3 though (cossie type).. You can change the rod bolts if you really want to, it's inexpensive.

You will need an uprated fuel system..

Either low comp pistons or a decompression plate will be needed, the pistons would be the better option but as you only want 250hp then a decomp plate will be fine on the std engine. welcome to PF and your english is better than most, any pics of the car.

So sorry don't mean to be like that

Its you just really do know you Zetec engines, you sound like some someone that works in the automotive industry.

Just thought you were a tuner/engine builder going under a different user name rather than his own. lol

My fiesta mk3 1992 is with a grey dashboard, in Malta I never saw a grey dashboard. I'm 100% it's not sprayed.
