Yeh, 3 door doors.
Then get the front seats from a 3 door Focus and swap for your current ones so that you can keep the rear seats in for emergency picking up of hoes, or something...

did you get the pics i need sorted mate and see if you can measure the length from the edge of the fing right back to end of the cill on both cars what im planning is to remove the roof and put full sides in it then cut the quaters to fill the gapbut this would mean getting 2 full sides of a 2 door

right after about a million pms with jacko he came up with this
which is certainly the way its gonna be done .
the ball is now in my court to get the shell stripped to the bare bones and get the parts jacko needs to crack on .
ohh and there is also an update on the engine front.
focus rs engine is now not gonna happen, going the cossie route now, gets past loadsas hurdles and tbh wont work out much more expensive anyway
which is certainly the way its gonna be done .
the ball is now in my court to get the shell stripped to the bare bones and get the parts jacko needs to crack on .

i nneded to do this before i knew my way would work cos i needed to se where the body lines will go and it seems spot on
ill remove the roof and wings and put full sides in right up to the middle of the rear arch then put the roof back on and then add some filler pannels for where the rear windows should have gone

thats how i said to do it in your other post the other day mate,will look the nuts when its done with all the rs arches and bumper and wheels,good luck with it mate will be keeping an eye on this

well after 6 years and at least one person stealing the original idea , i decided to build this.
there wont be many pictures as i dont want people to copy.
the plan is as follows, imperial blue , full rs kit, 2 door doors , and full rs conversion .. engine etc etc
the idea as it was back in 2008 is to build a more modern take on the old rs turbo escort combi van.
ill update with a few of the older build pics shortly

the donor after a bit of stripping
B pillar removed and 3dr door tried on for size
3dr b pillar in the process of being fitted , before we stengthened the joins and before outer top section was fabricated

rs quarter being fitted
welded and light skimmed in filler
top section fabricated and filled starting to take shape now
engine bay stripped ready for paint
passenger side done and van panel in, filler work started, other side is also done now as is the rear bumper .
still got alot of tweaking on the lines etc but starting to take shape now

This will look awesome. It needed the 3dr doors ones deffo as that st170 van looked too long with the side window. Keep putting plenty of pics up though of it as it gets sprayed etc and built up, can't wait to see this done. Is it having focus rs engine too?
