Default Black sapph 2wd (31-1-2012 re-rebuild strip out) gt30

After finding quite a bit of rust coming up around the sunroof I tried to get hold of a new roof but its nla

So I am going to reshell it in to this (wheels have been photoshopped)

it will be having a full repaint

the shell came with a spare set of doors

I have never liked all the holes in the inner wings so I have got rid of them
Loads of welding later and a skim of filler

Found a bit of rot on the osr arch so cut it out

Then found the drivers seat mount was rotten

I will be useing a bit of 3mm plate as a new mount with a m8 nut welded on the underside to make my life easier

Looks good, what colour will you be going with?

I need to do the same with one of my rear arches as the rust has come through, will also be getting rid of all the silly holes in the engine bay.

It will stay black as I am told that 2wd sapphs are very rare(not as rare as white but hey)

Looks so much better already without all the holes imho

£700 is cheap for a black one IMO; good on you mate; you've certainly cracked on with it

Although judging by the amount of different wheels you've had I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with a different set altogether

I won't be bringing mine in for an MOT I've just had two weeks of work and spent the whole two weeks painting bits on the Laguna
