I know of a couple of cars that have become "unserviceable" because of arch extensions and you can no longer remove the bumpers
if your staying with standard wheels leave S2 arches if your changing your wheels fit S1 arches you can fit 8" wheels without them sticking out past the arch
I remember many years ago some one to do with cossiecrew off here had a gold mk4 with series1 arches...I quite liked it tbh as the mk4 is a little too understated for me, the series 1 arches gave it more to shout about imo

bolloxs mine has s1 arches you just need to cut them to match ,my bumper come's off no probs and i haven't had any 'servicing probs' either!!
