I feel your pain Will regarding customs, my latest order from CFM only got released from customs with mother funking charges yesterday after 2 weeks!! and i got another order on the way i never get things through customs without charges!!

Well did a little bit today....

Had to remove the power steering pump bracket as the primary on number 2 fouled the bolt head. My fault, i'm running 13mm spacers to move the pump away from the Focus RS water pump.

The oil breather on the block also fouled the turbine housing so that's come off for now too - i'll remake that later on!

So - with the fouling parts removed - the manifold was fitted and bolted up tight:


V-Bands all done up tight:


Then quickly dropped the radiators and slam panel back in to check everything was ok:


Found the fans didn't clear though (not unexpected!)




Power steering line was also a concern - going to remake that and reroute it away from the top of the manifold:


Then it was time to fit the new dipstick tube:


And then use the super advanced angle grinder bridgeport milling machine...




I'll be recessing the top of power steering bracket to a countersunk hole and running a countersunk bolt so it'll be sub flush with the bracket!

Chopped my power steering line:


Line removed:


New line made up using the U shaped section with the pressure sender:


Fitted a compression fitting to the remainder of my old line:


So the line runs more like this now:


Will be ultimately mounted under the slam panel:


Tidies things up nicely!

Looks like its coming along great will. Out of interest who made the Manifold? Was it made in the USA?

Not equal length no mate, yes, in an ideal world equal lengths are best, but on turbo stuff it isn't quite as essential
