Cheers to all, much appreciated guys
@Nick: Have you got any gauges yet? If not, you'll easily see how it's fitted to the dash when you got them. The holders/brackets to the gauges makes the plate and gauges fit nice into the dash and hold them there. |

Cheers mate. Well, when the bay is finished i'm gonna paint all the plastic around the car and buy a set of nice wheels for it. Next winter i will probably start on the interior even though it's in good shape. Fix the head lining, clean all the seats properly and build up new foams for the front Recaro's etc.
Finally got the head back today, pics will come during the weekend |

The head is finally on top of the block, really satisfied with how the whole engine looks now. Gave it a few coats of hi-temp silver laquer on friday and let it dry until today, much easier to hold the parts nice and clean when they are laquered.

Time for an update now. Feel i've been very productive the last days and got alot of things done. Really pleased with how things looks, so i'm in a good mood now. The head is mounted properly, cams, inlet and manifold in place. The manifold is painted with a hi-temp lacquer from Bill Hirsch which is rated to withstand temperatures up to 980 degrees. Gonna be interesting to see how long it will last.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The steering rack has also been painted, got new solid bushes and mounted onto the cross-member. ![]() ![]() And of course, anodized power steering pipes ![]() The turbo was delivered for a rebuild with 360 bearings earlier this week, looking forward to receive it back and continue mounting together the engine.
